i find the gundy's particularly stan and stern's back and forth a fascinating incite into how stern runs the league.
this grantland podcast is great too.

Great find. Further reinforces how pathetic ESPN is. Love SVG's comment about how amazing the NBA is because it can take millions upon millions from ESPN and tell them how to do their job. Love it. Their NBA coverage has been so so bad since they got rights back in 03 or whenever. Would love it if rights could go exclusively to the Turner networks and NBATV on weekday games and back to NBC or CBS on Sundays. Despite the Disney-backing, their production values and staff are just so cheap in comparison to the major networks. I mean, look at the NFL: NBC's Sunday night games are much more marquee matchups and have solid production whereas the previously marquee MNF is an afterthought and much weaker in the booth and overall presentation.
I suppose Stern would throw his weight around even if NBC or CBS or Turner had made a similar deal with SVG but something tells me they wouldn't be so quick to acquiesce and would push back more than ESPN.

agree. not a fan of espn's studio team. i like wilbon and that is about it. i would be happy to never see or hear stu scott or brussard again. as for the game announcers i really like jvg and hubie brown. i just wish espn would revert back to the early and mid 90's when they reported the news and not tried to make or shape the news.
I'm interested in never hearing SVG's awful, raspy voice ever again.
He's played good lately (in sl as well) but that doesn't mean he's going to make the roster. I mean there were a lot of players better than Higgins last year but most of the time the coaches (or fo) are looking at additional stuff instead of just looking at the individual performance. I would love to see Adam play in the league again, but there's still a little voice inside my head who's saying that it's the end of his NBA career.
