I really don't think we can take a whole lot out of what has happened thus far considering he has been subbing people in and out and hasn't left a consistent, solid rotation on the floor in any one game. Hard to read a lot into that. I think it just speaks to how little depth we have, other than that, I'm excited to see what we do this year.

I hate to say it, but I was positively surprised after watching those preseason games. We might have won only once, but most of them were a lot closer than I thought they would be. It's not something to be proud of, but those games were a lot more fun to watch than all the 20+ point game losses from last year.

The Bobcats have a better record than the Lakers! Preseason, that is...

    Preseason means nothing.

that said, I watched two games in their entirety (the only two on tv) and I thought we looked about 1000% better from last year. I don't know why all the hand wringing and sky is falling mess. I have been especially happy to see the fight near the end of games (even in losing efforts), no quit. Much improved from last year where we quit in the 2nd quarter.

We aren't gonna be in the playoffs this year, so if you expected us to go undefeated in the preseason I don't know what to tell you.

I'm concerned with player development & perceived player value. You know our players weren't as bad as the stats said they were...we basically sent them to war with single shot rifles going up against M-60s. By adding a guy like Blair (example) it would give them more options which in turn would cut down on desperation/low chance of success plays.

Either way we're not going to win a lot of games, but adding that extra option makes a lot of difference in other ways.

Right now we couldn't trade any player because their previous play makes them look mediocre. I want to change that so they become assets and we can get value for them if we want to make trades.

blowing a 20 point lead yesterday in a loud arena full of kids cheering you on

But hey, I'm optimistic. I think if they settle down in to a less erratic rotation come regular season, the team will start playing better basketball together.

There are alot of new moving parts that need to be integrated on this team this year. Pre-season means nothing and i wouldn't expect to have any clear view of this team's potential until about 20 games into the season. Dunlap is just being thorough right now in my view. Relax! lol.

    Mullens has looked improved!
MKG has looked lost... that pick has me nervous... especially with the picks that were being offered for the #2 pick.
I would be ecstatic if we can get a minimum wage post player with some potential to get some boards and get some buckets under the rim to take some pressure off our guards.
I have no idea why out of the Panthers, UNC-Bball, UGA-fball and the Bobcats(the teams I follow) I have the biggest emotional attachment to the worst of them all and potentially in professional sports period.... these cats' drive me crazy

Mullens has impressed on both ends of the court and i think he will have a breakout season, MKG has had a steady pre-season but he hasn't had the minutes to be honest.

First game at TWC vs. depleted Wizards: I was there and it was a blast. The team looked good. MKG looked very good because they were playing the ball-pressure/running style that suits him. His 4 buckets were dunks or strong layups.

Second game at TWC vs. Bucks: Was not there. Not a STH or a middle-schooler, unfortunately. As I understand it, the Bobcats got out to a 20-point lead, then put in Higgins and blew it. Correct me if I'm wrong. When Higgins is playing, it shouldn't even be considered real Bobcats action.

So that's 2 very strong showings in the only 2 games at TWC. Perhaps that offers a glimmer of hope that the Bobcats will at least compete at home this year. Sure, it's a small sample size.

If MKG is getting little playing time, it's probably because Dunlap knows he's going to give his lottery pick 30 minutes a night in the season. Might as well use the preseason to see what other players/lineups can do.

By the way, Bobcats fans, if you want the preseason to REALLY depress you, watch Anthony Davis's recent highlights vs. The Heat in Miami...... He's looking more like Kevin Garnett than Marcus Camby.....
