I got a question about Mullens and his 19 rebounds Friday night. Was he in the paint more so than usual? He had 8 OFF REBs. That's pretty amazing. Seeing the highlight's, I like that little post-up-turn-into-the-lane fade away jump shot he's developed. I think he's just scratching the surface of what he can do offensively.

Yeah, I'm pro-Hendo, but he has to prove he's more than an MLE type that we can pick up later. Mully on the other hand gives you something legit at one of the big spots, even if it's not rugged defense. I'll stick take a floor spreading outside shooter who can have good defensive nights versus a mediocre big that doesn't do much of anything other than fill a roster spot. (I'm not comparing the roster-spot filler to anyone on our roster, but if we don't gamble a little on guys like Mully, you end up with overpaid mediocre bigs. No reason to spend the farm, but I definitely the idea of extending him.)

Deadline to extend is October 31st. Hopefully we're talking.

Agree that it's a no-brainer to extend Mullens' stay with us. Whatever happens over the next 2-3 years he'll never be anything less than a valuable rotation Big, and probably more.

I'd too would love to see him extended before the deadline.

only time will tell but i like the idea of having two 7 footers on the floor to start the game.

Especially if they compliment each other, with Haywood being a rugged interior presence and Mullens being an outside shooter and help defender.

yes i think its a good partnership for our big men combo, I see alot of improvement in Mullens defence and i think he will show us how good of an all round player he his
