Absolutely insane shooting in traffic/layups though, averaging 14 PPG by pure rambo into the lane.
He gets my PG at least 5 to 6 assists a game on ally-ops and general lane smashing moves.

he could average 12 PPG just by layups and drives to the basket but if he can develop a jump shot overtime he will be insane !

Only got to watch the last 5 minutes of the game.

    2 points on 1-7 shooting?!?

Gonna need MKG to play better than that as a number 2 overall.

Spoken like someone that didn't watch the game....the kid has a great feel for the game and does things that don't show in the box score

Honestly watching the game he played a lot better than his stats indicate. His impact on defense and his passing made a difference in the win.

Maybe if you watched the first 43 minutes you wouldn't have made such a dumb statement

Still, for a #2 pick you would ideally like him to be a key piece the last 2 min of the game. Although I don't think there was anyone cheering any louder.

MKG had a nasty block on 7'2" Hibbert at the basket which led to a quick Kemba lay up on the other end. He also had some outstanding closeouts on jumpshooters defensively. He went hard at the basket a couple of times and drew contact, but didn't get the call. I thought he showed promise, honestly.

Dunlap went moreso with Sessions, Walker, Gordon, and Henderson at the 3 perimeter positions down the stretch, leaving MKG on the bench. Smart move. We needed experience and halfcourt offense in there to seal the win.

He also should ideally be a freshman in college right now. He was still only 17 when he entered campus at UK and basically took over leadership of the team.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt in year one.

I dont care what else he did in the game. 2 points on 1-7 shooting is to be frank, terrible for a number 2 overall pick. Pretty much a non factor offensively.

Unless he had like 15 boards, 10 assists, 5 steals, 0 turnovers which I am sure isnt the case.

He was so good on D and had such an impact on the game he wasnt even in the game down the stretch of a close game.

MKG is a nice player to have on any team. Glad we have him and I think he will improve.

Only pointing out that offensively he has got to step it up. 2 points is not getting it done.
