that is why i think it is a good trade. generally when half the people think one team one and the other half think the other team one, it is a pretty even trade.

big risk was for okc. you never want to break up a contender unless you absolutely have to and they didn't have too right now.

Hate to do this, but LOL

Deron is the only player in the entire league to average 20/10/4/1 combined over the past two years. Not Paul, Westbrook, Rondo, Nash, or Kyrie. Deron averaged 8.7 assists last year passing the ball to Kris Humphries and... Shelden Williams. That's incredible.

He is very clearly a top 2-3 PG in the league and without a doubt a top 10 overall player

He's one of only 6 players in NBA history to average 18/9/3/1. That puts him with Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Oscar Robertson, Kevin Johhnson, and Chris Paul.

Not to mention that he's one of only 3 players in NBA history to average over 19/9 for his career in the playoffs. Those three? Deron, Paul, and Magic.

So if by "sucked pretty bad too" you mean "the most productive PG in the league" then I agree

can't argue with stats and those are much more impressive than i thought. you win, but when i watch him since he left utah, i am very very unimpressed. when he was with utah i agree he was often tied with paul as best pg in the league, but my eyes tell me a different story when i see him playing on the nets.

Sign of a good point guard is when you don't notice him, as he is so good at getting the ball to his teammates when They need it. Plus he can take over... Eg his 50+ point game against us
    Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Kema Walker The Core, The Future...
    Bizmack Biyombo
    Jeffrey Taylor

Go easy on me, I'm from England, and no... I Don't love the Queen.

just for fun. if you were either of these two teams would you do this one:

okc out: martin, serge, toronto pick for port out: aldrige, wes matthews

a lineup of westbrook, matthews, durant, aldrige and perkins will beat both the lakers and spurs and make the heat really really work to beat them.

I think OKC would probably do it but Portland wouldn't. Martin was mostly contract filler and has value as a large expiring when he gets there. Serge is a great shot blocker, but isn't an elite rebounder and is an overrated defensive player. Aldridge is a star, adds a bit more size, and can provide interior scoring that they definitely use and Wes Matthews is a better player than he's given credit for

yeah, i thought about it for a minute. the blazers need more value and it assumes they are going to go with a rebuild, which i think they are. okc adds both the dallas pick and our pick. that should get it done. and i would do it if i were both teams.

Would be a sweet line-up wouldn't it be though.
Aldridge gives them that post presence that all teams need (and that most teams don't have, shows the quality of the big men nowadays).
He's got the size and with Perkins can go about equal with the front court of the Lakers.

JH & MKG are my favorite players, so happy for James thought..fair trade IMO, HOU got there go-to guy, and the thunder got a lil deeper.. Plus don't count J lamb as being a steal for OKC.. Homeboy is going to be a bust.

James is going to get the credit he deserves in HOU.
