also, al jefferson is anything but "not injury prone".

You do realize that we traded for Ben Gordon this summer, right?
But to get back on the original post; your thoughts aren't all that ridiculous, we need to have a good and reliable big man, but there are a few things I would disagree on.
first of all, the Jazz don't have that many big men, actually, they've only got four. Secondly; I don't see Utah taking any long contracts in a trade, they've got only $25,696,809 on next years payroll (if Marvin Williams chooses to stay) and I'm expecting they're aiming at next year's free agency.
So unless we're able to find a team who's willing to take on Tyrus' contract, I don't see this trade happen.

If I were Rich Cho, I would immediately hang up the phone on any other GM that dares to mention us giving up one of our 1st round picks.

Haha Ibaka has offense Heck no. What big man doesn't have mid range nowadays. Dude Ibaka can't post up or play POST DEFENSE either...

But he can hit 3s... He has been hitting them over preseason, really improved his range over the offseason

but 3 of his 8 years he has missed significant time for injury. this makes him not "not injury prone"

um alot of big man don't have a mid-range,they maybe can hit some but not on a consistent basis and especially not the athletic defensive minded ones. im pretty much sure u don't watch nba games and your going by what you think but not only does he have a mid game but he rarely misses .
