If you have ever been up close to him TV doesn't do justice how big he is. The Sixers had Elton Brand then and he made brand look like Kemba Walker...lol

The first time I saw Shaq was during our 1st (or 2nd) season when we had Okafor. Before the game they got next to each other to speak and it looked like Shaq had about 2 feet on him. What was really amazing was that he was proportional...a very tuned in athlete that was just a helluva log bigger than the average guy.

There are so many funny things that happen on the sidelines. My favorite moment was when Lebron & Shaq were with Cleveland in 2009 and came up to Philly. We still had A.I. but we were absolutely terrible and it was about 10 days before Christmas. A.I. was flying down the baseline and rams into Shaq at full speed and Shaq flops like he was just run over by a truck and comes flying backwards and his big ass landed right on my foot and actually gave me a hairline fracture in my foot. Two days before Christmas i'm at home and a Fed Ex package got dropped off and it was from Shaq. He sent me an autographed game worn jersey, signed the shoes he wore in that game, and flowers/card saying get well soon. Thought that was pretty funny and down right awesome.

The funniest moments are just the trash talk that goes on between players on free throws and inbounds plays. Garnett was the biggest trash talker ever in the history of the world and he was down right nasty. He ran his mouth non-stop!

This is just about the best thing I've ever read on here. I'm so glad you're here, EmmaCat. A fresh perspective!!

And yeah, I hear that Garnett is the biggest bully ever. But our local beat writer told of a story where he backed down from a challenge by Stephen Jackson(former Bobcat). Garnett wanted no part of Captain Jack.

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself since I am new to the forum. I'm Gina, but go by middle name Emma. I was born and raised in Charlotte and moved to Philly after college chasing a boy. I am a huge NBA basketball fan and a former 76ers Dream Team dancer. I moved back to Charlotte in August and am really excited to be back in town and get to go to some Cats games.
I love talking basketball and I know more about it then most girls because I was raised in a basketball family. My dad coached high school basketball for 35 years and my two brothers played basketball at small colleges so I have been around it all my life.

Hey Emma, what school did your dad coach? I might've played against him if he was coaching in Charlotte in the mid to late 90s.
