Lightbulb No Extensions For Hendo & Mully...What's Next?

The deadline for RFAs to receive their contract extensions has passed and neither Hendo or Mully got a deal done. It's not really a shocker since there wasn't much talk in the media about negotiations and both players are relative question marks. Going forward there are a few decisions that Cho & Co. can make. Will they wait until the offseason and risk the possibility of having to match offer sheets or will they seek trade options before the deadline? What would you do?

That's interesting. I think it all comes down to what they think of each player moving forward. I know it's a well duh statement but in reality the most praise I've heard has been toward Mullens. Dunlap seems to really like the guy. As long as he continues to rebound. I would proably wait and try to reach an agreement with Mullens after the season. Hendo's contract will more likely be based of his stats and where he was selected in the draft. I'm not a numbers guy, but I think Hendo's numbers have been the most consistent over the past two years and among the best on the team. I don't think either has reached their potential, but I like how Mullens is progressing and the matchup missmatches he can bring to a woefully inept offensive team.

Personally, I think both Hendo & Mully are auditioning as trade assets for a master plan that Cho is trying to put together. I wish Kevin Love would have never gotten injured doing knuckle push ups so we could have tried to swing Hendo & somebody like Reggie Williams to Minnesota for Derrick Williams & a filler with one of those 2013 1st round picks they possess, because I'm sure the Wolves would want a safety net SG just in case Brandon Roy's knees don't hold up during their much expected playoff push this season.

as I said in the Henderson thread, I think we need to look to trade Hendo... and I would suspect they are waiting to see how Mully plays this year before making a commitment.

I just can't see with MKG's skill set how we can move forward with out a high scoring SG and Henderson just isn't gonna cut it. MKG, as it's been said 1 million x's before, is a stat stuffer... he's not gonna give you 20-30 pts a night and in this league you need your SG or SF to be that guy... especially in this division.
