Nope. Still pick Prospect B or trade the pick and pick up more value to get prospect A.
So, lets put this in an actual scenario.
Two prospects
Prospect A (SG) - Rated 94
Prospect B (PF) - Rated 95
The team has nothing at the SG and just drafted their potential franchise PF last year that had a nice season.
Any GM that picks Player B is an idiot.

You can't put players into a nice little 0-100 rating like 2k. Some players are all-world in one system, yet pedestrian in another. You have to evaluate based on the current makeup of your team and how it benefits each potential acquistion, but also how the acquistion would affect the makeup of the team, both short term and long term. You also have to determine the crossover of that player to different systems, because let's face it, no good player only has a single coach in his career. And I challenge you to find any controversial pick where the players in question would be nearly equal throughout the entire scenario of examination.
Sure you can. Its called a draft board.
I don't really get your "system" comment.
As far as I see it that should be irrelevant. You want players that can excel in any and every system.
Every position has characteristics you look for.
For instance
PG:
6'2+
Great vision / passing ability
Great handle
Smart / High BBALL IQ
Great jumpshot
Athletic
Scoring Ability / Offensive Moves
You want the most complete players at every position that can thrive in any system.
You draft the most talented / complete player with also taking into consideration team make-up and differences in talent between players.

Maybe its just early and my coffee hasn't kicked in, but I'm missing the point of this thread?

Yeah you know all about dumb don't you?
Instead of being retardedly arbitrary like you and try to rank players like its 2K13, I'll posit a question.
Say we draft Shabazz this year (who by all accounts looks like a franchise caliber player), then get the first overall pick in the 2014 draft. Are you REALLY saying we don't draft Wiggins because we already have MKG//Bazz?
Yeah, talk about a dumb move.
that sentence gives me half a chubb. nasty lefty at sg. two sf's, mkg to do some heavy lifting at pf occasionally. ideally, get a taller defensive pg who defers to wiggins as primary ball handler like lebron does in miami and hopefully biz would pan out as small ball center.
BPA ALWAYS.
