Best game I've ever been to! There was a different energy in that building tonight and it was loud! I was impressed just watching Dunlap on the sidelines. Kemba was amazing and I like our future. Plus everyone in attendance got free tickets to another game!

I liked how MKG never put his tracksuit back on when he was benched, he looked eager to come back on and give 110% again !!

Some quotes from DJ after the game

"They look like a different team out there," said guard D.J. Augustin, who joined the Pacers this offseason as a free agent after four seasons with the Bobcats.
"They came at us with a full court trap and it kind of threw us off our game. They were very intense."

    Frank Vogel

"It was a tough shooting night but you have to give the Bobcats credit," Vogel said. "Kemba Walker was sensational. We turned the ball over too much and we couldn't knock down our free throws.

Also I wouldnt worry about being too good, we won our first game last year and we all know how that turned out

Yeah, happy for the win, happy for a lot of things, but we still need to develop a lot, and getting low post scoring is a must.

Loved the intensity from Kemba and MKG out there, you can tell their personalities really click together. If we are supposed to be tanking, we shouldnt have picked these guys cuz they arent gonna go down without a fight...we still arent good but play every game 100% to win let Cho handle the draft pick stuff. Theres no superstar this year anyway

Can't believe how little mention there is of Dunlap in this thread. He flat out out-coached Vogel. The Pacers were not ready for defensive presses. The Pacers were not ready for a 2-3 zone. Sure, Kemba had a great game, but the Bobcats are going to have to rely so much more on coaching this season seeing as they have no actual star.

I would've really enjoyed this game if it weren't against my Pacers. Just hope it sticks (I remember Charlotte starting last season with solid efforts against the Bucks and Heat).

I don't necessarily disagree, but Vogel also had some terrible decisions by Gerald Green, a missing star, and lots of missed free throws. Plus, Kemba was super hot. I'm wondering if it was less getting out coached and more just not Indiana's night combined with the Bobcats hitting some big shots.

Again, not trying to put any kind of negative spin on the win, but I also don't want us setting unrealistic expectations about our coaching staff, our payers, and especially the pressing defense.

No, you're right, the 11 missed FT's were a big deal. But when Tyrus came in later in the game and obviously disrupted the flow, Dunlap removed him. Gerald Green shouldn't have been in so much to make those bad decisions (including 2 of the worst bounce passes I've seen in a long time). If Stephenson and Hansbrough are playing well, you have to abandon some of your timed rotations to give them a bigger role. I would've also liked to have seen a few different matchups defensively. Paul George on Kemba would've been nice.

Dunlap was hilarious as he was ON THE COURT most of the night... not on the sideline... ON THE COURT. Guy's intense. I love it.
