    Fug that.
don't worry dash we will be right there for atop 3 pick. don't get me wrong i enjoyed the hell out of the game, but i think this is the exception not the norm.

Exactly! Low expectations and ride it while it's hot. That's how I'm rolling.

Also I wouldnt worry about being too good, we won our first game last year and we all know how that turned out
i mentioned this in the game chat but i expect the press/trap to be much less effective by the start of december. nba coaches and scouts will game plan for it and it won't be a surprise for long. i loved the intensity though and saw alot of promising things.

Occasionally Paul Silas would run a full press against DRose and it always got him really rattled. I was hoping the Pacers would try that in the playoffs a couple years ago but they didn't. If used sparingly, it could prove to be a great weapon.

Good game. I'm still a bit concerned by all of the mid range jumpers. I hope we attack the basket a little bit more early in the game. Kemba and Hendo played well, Thomas and Mullens were pretty awful. I wouldn't worry too much about winning too many games. This is still a bottom 5 team. I think we need to take the approach Houston did. They competed, accumulated assets, made some decent trades and free agent moves, and then were ready to pounce when an elite talent became available. Getting a star player through the draft just hasn't happened for us.

I felt like Henderson got off to a slow start and still wish he was better with a jump shot or just plain open shots but he provided some grit and defense and came on offensively (he has to bring that IMO) as the game progressed.

MKG played well for the time he was in there. Wish he would have gotten more time and there will come a time when we need more point production from him but he had a nice opening game providing with many of the assets we know he can bring.

I thought for a bit that Gordon was going to explode when he came into the game but he fell off quickly. We'll still need those bursts from him this season. Sessions played pretty good although he didn't seem happy to be a backup (maybe I'm just not used to seeing his facial expressions).

Was disappointed with Mully's game but he always seems to be streaky from game to game and I expect to see him go off again before too long.

I totally thought TT was going to single-handedly lose the game at the end for us when he came in... :/

Dunlap seemed to appreciate Haywood's play even and I guess he brought some calming factor to the group.
Mullens had 2 steals and 2 blocks. That's refreshing. His 3-pointer was off, but he found other ways to score. I'd give him a B+.

    Haywood DID have 9 rebounds.

Henderson went 2-5 from three, and 6-14 overall, but I think he missed badly a few times, which raises eyebrows. The thing that bugged me about Henderson is that his ballhandling looked no more fluid than in the past. If he can't develop that handle, he will need to become a disruptive, airtight defender who nails down the catch-and-shoot and gets occasional dunks. He will find his niche, but he won't be the all-star Jordan had hoped for.

Mullens was not awful. Played good on defense, rebounded, and hustled. Tyrus was awful. Mullens...or anyone else who tries...shouldn't be in the same breathe as TT.

i was impressed with Mullens on the defensive end and he will be a solid shot blocker this season.

Dunlap mentioned it in post game... but everyone knows what Mullens can do from the 3 pt line now so he's not gonna get a lot of wide open looks anymore.

I think tonight he forced a couple long range shots and but then they adjusted to get him some better looks closer to the basket. I think he will be alright but he CAN NOT be taking those long range shots unless he is wide open. He's percentage is not that great when he is even being loosely guarded and then we're short a big under the basket to help out our inept offensive rebounding (which I think will start to improve w MKG seeing more time).
