@ Ohara831....by no means was i saying i want Lillard over MKG...i was reffering to the NBA.com rookie rankings....all i was saying was that thru 7 games i agree that Lillard should be ranked above MKG....through the first 2 weeks of the season i feel as tho Lillard has played a little better then MKG...i think NBA.com has the rookies ranked correctly......But i do believe that in the long run that MKG will surpass Lillard in the rankings.....personally i feel like as time goes on that Anthony Davis will move to #1 in the rankings and that MKG will sit comfortable at #2......now with the rookie rankings aside and just speaking about who i would have drafted and after seeing these guys play , who i want on my team....without a doubt it is MKG....after we missed out on Davis there was no doubt in my mind that MKG was our guy...and i still feel that way today...

I got you. And as for ESPN's rankings, MKG at #2 and JT at #19. Think we did OK this past draft.

Lillard is clearly the best rookie so far. I think Davis has the potential to surpass him in the future.

    1) Lillard

    2) Davis

    3) MKG

    4) Waiters

    5) Barnes

Is who I think will be really good players from this draft.

Lillard has shown some impressive stuff and MKG has surprised me as well. Davis on the other end didn't do as much as I think he's capable of. He played a couple of solid games, but unlike MKG and Lillard it doesn't seem like he got the ability to take over the game.

How is he clearly the best rookie so far? I would say it goes Davis, MKG, Lillard, Waiters, (Rest are irrelevant so far)

@ Bobcat8...have u been keeping up with Lillard thusfar..the guy has been amazing thru 9 games..i dont think any1 is saying he is the automatic rookie of the year or anything..but thru 9 games he has been the best hook hands down...look at his averages per game ....19.3 points...6.4 assists...3.3 rbds and 1.3 steals....he is shooting 44% from the field....40% from 3 point and 85 % from the line .and he has scored 20+ points in 6 of the 9 games....thats a pretty damn impressive line for a rookie...especially a guy who is doing this somewhat out of the blue...He is clearly playing better then the other rookies thru 9 games...its looking like the Rookie of the Year race is going to be between 3-4 players ( Lillard , A Davis , MKG , Waiters ) ...NBA.com just ranks the rookies every week... so its something that changes all the time depending on how each guy plays up until the date the rankings come out....who knows if Lillard will keep up this pace but either way i am very happy with MKG and i hope he plays well tonight vs Memphis

    Bobcat8,

    This.

You obviously havent been following Lillard because he is clearly / hands down / ahead of all the rookies so far.

Which is no surprise. I said before the draft he was the most complete player.

Let's compare MKG and Davis to Lillard 3 years from now, when MKG and Davis will be 22, the age Lillard is now.

No that's not how it works...I THINK ALL FANS OF TEAMS THAT PICKED TOP 7 ARE ALL SUFFERING FROM THE FEAR OF MISSING OUT ON "THE GUY"...NO ONE WANTS TO SAY THEY PICKED "THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY"...

I actually think when everything plays out like it will, barring injuries...this will be one of the few drafts where 6 of the top 7 draft picks become all stars...

    BEAL
    BARNES
    MKG
    LILLARD
    DAVIS
    WAITERS

WILL ALL WIN MULTIPLE ALL STARS AND HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE SUPERSTARS...

AS A TAR HEEL I HAVE THIS LITTLE REMORSE THAT WE DIDN'T PICK BARNES...I SEE MJ FUTURE FOR HIM...BUT HEY, I'M A TAR, LET ME DREAM

Lillard's been great, but Davis is right there with him, if not above him. He's only giving up 3 points, with their assists and rebounds basically being a wash. However, Davis is getting 2.2 blocks and a steal with only 1.5 TOs. Davis is also doing that in almost 9 minutes less than Lillard.

It's definitely 1 and 1a, but Lillard isn't hands down anything. You might have argued that the first week, but not now.
