Barnes has the potential and length to be a great defender...

He was the #1 player in his class until Anthony Davis decided to have a massive growth spurt...I expected him to play this well...Now if he was making jumpshots left and right, I would have been shocked...but he's always had a tremendous motor and could finish at the rim...

Of course Barnes has the potential and length to be a good defender. Probably in a mold of a Luol Deng. I don't see anyone disputing that...

Byron Mullens was once the #1 player coming out of highschool and it took him a while to "get it". Everyone knows about Kidd-Gilchrist heart, desire, work ethic, etc. Hes going to be a stud.

"Lillard had 22 points and nine assists while going 5-for-6 from 3-point land"

Filthy stats from Lillard the other night.

Hopefully he keeps it up so we can go ahead and get Portlands 1st rounder this year.

it would be great to get portlands pick this year....package that with our pick which will prob be 5-12 and we can move up and grab the stud that all these guys want to tank the season for...even tho feel like this draft is not very good...how great would it be to have 2 picks this year and then 2 picks next year ( Detroits isnt protected much in 2 years )

Take these draft pick scenerios ( even if we just have our basic 1 pick each of the next 2 years) drafting those young guys and then take a look at all the unrestricted free agents that we can add this upcoming offseason and with 1 more year of experience with our current core and i think getting a 5-8 seed next year is very reasonable with an even better playoff seed the year after.....

and if we cant sign 1 of the many really good unrestricted guys this offseason bc they dont want to come here then we have 2 really valuable pieces...2 expiring contracts in Diop's 7.5 mill and Reggie Williams 2.5 mill....giving us 10 million in expiring contracts to trade to whatever team for their free agent vet

the unrestricted guys that i really want bad who i think can get us to the playoffs (and maybe even win a round or 2) are Josh Smith / Al Jefferson / Paul Milsap / JJ Hickson and maybe Dejaun Blair

Just getting to the playoffs isnt nothing special. You need to be competing for a chip. Getting knocked out in the first or second rounds every year does nothing for the fan base. Either you need to make a big free agent acquisition or do a blockbuster trade if you are in that situation. Top guys are not gonna want to come to Charlotte. We will need to build and land a superstar through the draft.

If we pick any where outside of the top 5 it will be a disaster next year. These next two years are all about getting top 3 picks and having kemba, mkg, and biz grow as players.

The FO brought in sessions. gordon, and haywood to early. Bring them in for great depth on a playoff / title contender.
