If nothing else this would easily be the best halftime show in Bobcats history.

Except for Red Panda of course.

Not really pump you up Music, but for one game or maybe a few wednesday games (use it as a draw for wednesday or middle of the week games against unpopular teams). It would be a cool addition.

Oh man! That would be awesome. They're my favorite band. I've actually seen Ben Folds live a couple times, including once that was just him & a piano. REALLY good shows. You can bet that would be a game in which I'd never leave my seat! Please make it happen Bobcats!

Clicked through those videos and have to say, it just isn't my thing. But hey if that's what the people like then so be it

You're young and still make choices based on what other people will perceive of your manhood. Life gets better.

(Not really my thing either, but Ben Folds is great at improv, which could be pretty cool at the arena.)
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

big Ben Folds fan here and I would love to see this happen... I saw this exchange on twitter and I hope they can make something work.

I've seen Ben a number of times with various bands/solo and he it's just a fun show whether you dig his music or not. Saw him in Maryland once with an orchestra and for the encore he conducted the orchestra and the crowd (singing notes, chorus, etc... different sections/different parts, mind you) for a few songs... It was truly amazing.

posted this on rgm yesterday as well. awesome to see a few ben folds five fans here. huge fan myself as well. saw some of the same shows mentioned, tremont and queens college, back in the 90s, not sure the exact years though, maybe 97-98.

the drummer darren jessie went to east meck, my high school, in the late 80s. he was a few years older than me. their 3rd album is called "the unauthorized biography of reinhold messner" and it was a nod to fake IDs that were made at east meck in the auto shop class back in the late 80s. a buddy of mine in high school actually had a reinhold messner fake ID made at east meck. no kidding.

It always seems a little more rockin' when they play right in front of you, as opposed to some studio recording. I remember being immensely impressed at the concert.

Very cool. Yeah, I THOUGHT that guy was from Charlotte. I know Ben went to RJ Reynolds High(a high school hoops opponent of mine), and I want to think the other guy was from Greensboro.
