Going back to the "Hornets"

Hey, has this been confirmed that we are going to change our name back to the Charlotte Hornets? I've been searching around on google but its all just speculation.

Honestly I would like to just keep the bobcats. Love the name and our colors, but it would be interesting to see if we go back to our old alias.

I think that as this young team grows and we begin to (hopefully) win more games. The city will warm up to the idea of the "Bobcats". The hornets is a name of the past and it should just be a part of our history. I believe that the name Bobcats and the new "winning" culture we are instilling Charlotte is growing each and every game, and it would be silly to change the name back now.

It hasn't t been confirmed, although the owner of the Hornets said he wants to change their name and Jordan said he would change it if the name Hornets came available.

Just for the record- the name change or lack there of will not effect my amount of fandom. I'm a huge basketball fan, I love the NBA, and I love my hometown. I will pull for this team no matter what they are called, as long as the 1st name is Charlotte. I have a preference for the nickname but, no matter if it changes or not- I will support this team as I always have.

The fact that is says Charlotte is the most important part for me and always has been. ( which is why I don't pull for the New Orleans Hornets)
