Going back to the "Hornets"

What really pisses me off is that a bulk of them were fighting against us even getting another team...and NOW they want to jump on board but only if we do it all their way?

Screw them. They need to grow the f**k up and realize the team that's here RIGHT NOW is worth pulling for.

I know plenty of Bringbackthebuzz supporters and I have yet to meet a single person that was/is against the Bobcats.

I guess when facts don't back up any rational thought about why the Bobcats themselves won't eliminate the "buzz", you just throw generalizations in attempt to belittle the people that think differently than you do.


Like I said, Michael Jordan could end all this debate with a single phone call. My guess is this issue will end soon, but 6% of Charlotte won't like it.

It's pretty simple really; if all the fans who supported the Hornets in Charlotte before Shinn "made" them bite their noses off to spite their face came out and backed the new franchise from Day 1 then the team wouldn't be playing in front of a half empty arena thru those earlier years...right?

Ergo..."bulk".

We are talking about those who aren't showing up and will only if we get a name change right? If you don't fit the bill then why be so defensive about it?

All you have is MJ NOT killing it. Silver did not "announce" it like you said and everything else is speculation on your part. Since you're the one saying it's a matter of "when" & not "if" I'd say the onus is on you to provide the facts.

MJ not killing it is kind of a big deal... Would you not agree that this issue is divisive? These debates do nothing to build the unity that is needed to really unite the fan base. The chance that the name is changing could hurt merchandise sales.

I can think of no good reason that a sensible business would continue with a chirade like this.

I could be wrong but, I think the Bobcats owners/ management team is smart enough that if this wasn't happening, they would have already killed it.

Remember the other rumor this year? That MJ was looking to sell the team...rumor squashed emphatically in 2 seconds. I just think it's stupid to let this continue unless your gonna do it... That's all

StylesG- let me offer an example of what he's trying to say.

Assume you and I are going to run a mile and each of us can run a mile in 6 minutes flat... It won't take us 12 minutes to finish because we are running at the same time.

If the NBA is going to do this, I'm sure the 2 year clock for both teams has already started....

Additionally, Swedd is saying that based on how other situations have played out, the 2 year window can happen much, much faster.

Y'know by calling us the "6%" you're kind of showing your true stripes here. Have I once put you down (assuming that you've been supporting the Bobcats like you said you have)? I have nothing against you personally; we just disagree on this idea of changing our name. My issue is trying to lure these people who won't support the team now by kissing their ass in the hopes that they might come.

There is no evidence! LMAO you keep saying that but you have NOTHING other than the team not outright killing the idea.

And those two are not the same. Keeping the supposed bandwagoners hopes alive doesn't take away from the fan base...losing MJ could very well do that. It might be devisive, but is that going to stop one fan on this site from continuing to follow the team? Nope...most likely not a one. We were fans when the name wasn't cool...remember?

JGib ...i obviously understand your point...and no offense to u but im not an idiot....i know how it works...i just posted my thought incorrectly....im not sure if the proccess has started yet to be honest ...i guess we will just have to wait and see....its no biggie to me..i would rather keep the Bobcats name anyway...but as for the 2 or 4 year thing..i understand your point and understand how everything works....so we can move on to the next topic...( this is meant with all due respect ..not being a smartass or trying to be rude )
