I think what happened at the end was because we had been jacking a lot of 3s and bad long range 2s early in the fourth. Dunlap said we're best as a rim attacking/free throw team, and you obviously can see that's what he told them with the way Sessions and Kemba kept attacking the paint. I just don't think Kemba realized how long and quick Kirilenko actually is, and there hasn't been much film on him since he's been gone the last few years.

Anyway, I'm actually glad things happened the way it did last night. It reaffirmed that Kemba does have gigante cojones, and a huge reserve of ice water running through his veins. A lot of teams struggle at the end of games because they don't have a go to player, someone willing to step up and take the big shot. This is a very important player, something many teams struggle to find. I think Kemba showed he is that kind of guy.
i would also add something from the game chat. down the last minute, one possession we got the ball to mullens in the high/mid post about 4 feet outside the block. he reverse pivoted, too one dribble baseline, spun back to the paint and got fouled shooting. i said this is what mullens needs to do about 80% of the time. work the long post for dribble/drive or pull up jumpers against much slower big defenders. this is what we should have been doing the last 4-5 minutes. slowing the game down, grinding and getting to the foul line. this is what our pg's need to recognize as far as game situations go. we did not need kemba or sessions forcing drives and allowing them to get back into it. i know they are young, i was just simply using this to point out that the poor game management should not be overlooked. although the end result was absolutely fantastic, and i don't want to understate that shot by kemba enough.

    1. Kemba and Bismack are most certainly not "essentially rookies"

Now that we got that out of the way. Kemba made a few stupid mistakes last night near the end of the game that had a lot to do with the Wolves' comeback. So did Reggie, Sessions, and Mully. Making mistakes is part of the game. Kemba also made a great game winning shot that gave us the win. But that last play does not absolve him from any criticism.

You take the good and the bad with young players.

I wonder if Kemba know that he plays with such a huge microscope on his every mistake by a lot of Bobcat fans and critics. If so, that's one heck of a burden to carry on his young shoulders on a nightly basis and he's more ballsy than I initially gave him credit for.

So we should all be brain dead stans?

A mistake is a mistake is a mistake. He finished great (and deserves credit), but glossing over mistakes doesn't give him an opportunity to learn from them, correct them, and continue improving.

We should thank more than bash Kemba really. I have faith in him, b/c honestly last year I hated him b/c dude had no signs of being a good player.

I think we are all on the same page here now. so enough of that.

Favorite part of last night wasn't necessarily the shot that one it (though obviously it was awesome), but the inbound and moments preceding it. Kemba wanted that shot from the get go. He practically pulled the basketball out of the net and quickly got it to Mully for the inbound. took one look up court and the rest is history. Just nice knowing we have a guy like that.... especially after his first 6 real games in the NBA

We don't have to be brain dead stans in order to act like a player, especially a young player still finding his way, is not supposed to be a perfect player. It's to the point now where he could score 100 points and somebody would say "yeah but he only had 3 assist". Even the consensus best PG in the NBA, Chris Paul, had 3 turnovers last night on 33% shooting in a victory over the Heat. The nitpicking is just a little overboard. I'm pretty sure that's all 'Catch 22' was trying to say.

The fact that people are in the position to critic his game play shows how much he has progressed. He is one to two years away from really being an automatic 25-5 type of player...If he improves his jumpshot in the next year or so, watch out.

he's averaging 19 PPG and defending awsome !. He has been very effective on both ends of the floor this season and he's showing why we picked him in the top 10 !
