Ok its official, I am really worried about us blowing our draft position for getting a star player. This isnt like the NFL where you can get great talent all in the first.

We need a top 3-5 pick this year. Hell, I think we need a top 2 pick (Zeller and Shabaz).

We need to trade Sessions or something for a nice deal. Winning is ok, but winning meaninglessness games now will only hurt us in the future.

i really dont understand some of guys....i mean there has to be other Bobcat fans who are thinking like me and dont care about next years draft pick right now and are just enjoying how good and how surprising this team is this year??>...please if you are out there then speak up and lets the people who made this post and those who agree..please let them know how crazy their thinking is

No offense to any1...bc every1 is entitled to their opinion but damn..we have struggled every year the Cats have been here with the exception of the playoff year...now we finally have assembled a pretty good and young team and we are playing great and winning games yet we have fans who say we are winning to much and actually want to see us have another single digit win season so we can maybe get Zeller or Shabaz and maybe they will be good...its insane...fans who look forward to the draft 9 games into the season are usually fans from losing teams ...not fans from a 5-4 team who is sitting alone at the 6 seed right now

Those of us who have followed the team for a while have seen us sniffing the playoffs for years only to never get a great player that will take us to the next level. That's the only reason why so many people don't want us to be successful yet. That being said, I don't think anyone should be angry about us winning. As I mentioned in the other thread, that just puts more pressure on Cho to be creative and make it work.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

"You play to win the game". Cho and company knew what they were getting themselves into to when they traded for Gordon, signed Sessions and hired Dunlap. The team is doing better then anyone expected but that doesn't mean you blow it up. You play to win the game, don't tell me you didn't think Cho and company had a plan if this season went better then expected. There's no such thing as winning to much. Not to mention, who knows how long the 'Cats can keep this sorta play up?

@ Dnbman....i am a longtime Hornets fan and a Bobcat fan from day 1..i was uptown when they announced the team name and attended the 1st preseason game...ect.....my point being that u mentioned "us" fans who have followed this team since day 1....well i am very much a part of that "us" that u mention and i just dont feel the way that u do ..we have had some very bad seasons ...and when u mention that we have won games and just barely missed the playoffs several times only to miss out on a great player..i just disagree with this

In the 8 or 9 seasons that the team has been here we have had 1 season when we made the playoffs..aside from that season our best record in any other season was 35-47...we had a cpl seasons with win totals in the low 30's.. a cpl in the 20's..1 season with 18 and 1 season with 7 wins..my point being that we havent had many seasons where in reality we were in the playoff hunt..therfor we didnt miss out on draft picks bc of winning to much....we have had plenty of high draft picks...we have missed out on great players bc of terrible GM moves and terrible bust draft picks

I do agree that we need just enjoy the wins and enjoy what Cho has done in only a year and some change...lets just play hard and win games and trust in what Cho is doing and the draft picks and free agents will fall into place...he has proven enough to me so far that i can take a backseat from arm chair GM'ing and just enjoy the surprising start to the season

The bottom line is we need a superstar to compete for the nba title.

Some would argue we need more than just 1 superstar with the rise of the mega teams (stars joining forces to win the chip).

Screw the playoffs if we are not a title contender. We are far away from being a legit title contender.

The only way we are gonna become a title contender is suck until we land a top 1-3 draft pick and select a star. Its not every draft there is a Lebron, Durant, Melo, Rose, ect. Not only do you have to suck you have to get lucky and suck in a good year and not get screwd in the lottery.

We have some nice pieces right now with Kemba, MKG, ect. No point in having a guy like Sessions or Gordon right now making us competitive and taking us out of a top draft pick.

Give me Sessions are Gordon when we are a title contender! They would be great coming off the bench in that situation.

You don't need a superstar to win a championship, I fully believe that. We ARE NOT going to get a Lebron, Melo, Wade, Durant, Rose, etc anytime soon. However...Kemba and MKG both have lots of promising skill that looks to me like All Star type skill in the future.

We have multiple draft picks loaded up for the future as well as cap space. We're good. Lets keep winning this is fun. Go Cats.

This is stupid. I would like to see this team win. Lets watch this team develop into a competitive team. Just last year, we talked about how Kemba was a bust and deserves no more then a 6th man position. Now hes being talked about as this teams face of the franchise and leader. Mully was at best a spot in Center last year. We complained about how he has crappy D but now look at him. His defensive intensity has improved alot and is no where near the Defensive liability he was before. Lets stop praying for a star and start developing that team.

I've been conflicted on this, but I must say I think we should just keep winning and not even try to blatantly go into tank mode, aka "Walker is out tonight with the stomach bug" type of stuff that tends to happen later on in the season. We have Portland, and Detroits future first rounders and while Portlands is top 12 protected thru 2016 Detroits is top 8 next year then basically unprotected the year aftere. That pick could end up being the jackpot.

Besides, if you want to change the culture in Charlotte as Dunlap has literally stated 659 times than tanking won't do that.

What would make you think such a thing??!? Go back and look at all the past champions, pretty much everyone of them had at least one superstar and generally more than one.

Why would we not get a superstar anytime soon? We are still one of the worst teams in the league. Which means any given year / draft we can get a superstar.
