Have to apologize. Out of morbid curiosity I picked up a used copy at Gamestop last week with all intentions of trying it out, laughing at it and returning it, but a funny thing happened, I actually like it. Weapon-leveling and custom classes in general are the best of any CoD. Love the Wildcards where you can equip multiple perks from the same group in lieu of another group you don't care for. Very very balanced as well. The weapons you begin with are good enough that you don't even need to bother unlocking the other ones as you level up. Also, being a shotgun lover, the 87 something or other, the one you begin with is beastly...the first CoD shotgun that works as a CQC weapon since the 1887 in MW2. The party games are a lot of fun too, especially one in the chamber. I think these were in the first Black Ops but I was so underwhelmed by that game I didn't bother. Also, the maps are damn solid and offer good verticality and smooth transitions.
I'm eating crow. Way to go Treyarch...bout time!
