Caught me with my pants around my ankles on this one Ziggy.
Currently holidaying overseas and haven't been checking much of the forums besides a glance now and then only at bobcats talk.
But do not fear, I will defend my country with pride til the bitter end. Will give you many reasons why to live in this country when I'm not busy

I actually wrote this massive post on defending Australia, and it got wiped because my internet d/ced when I posted. So I'm annoyed.
So I'll do a tl;dr version.

Beaches: Some of the best beaches in Aus
Babes: Lots of hot babes, see Kerr, Miranda
Friendly: We're nice people
Deadly: Since we live with such deadly beasts, we are all naturally Bear Grylls esque people
Awesome: Because we're aussie
Criminals: Anyone who is born in Australia (yellows, white, black, green, blue, orange) carries a long tradition of Australian convicts. In other words, we are born badasses, even if we dont have the original convict blood in us
Beef and Lamb: Best beef and lamb in the entire world, EASILY
On an Island: Means when the zombies hit, I only need to fight 20 million, compared to the millions more you Americans would have to fight
AFL: Australia's sport. Addictive to watch, and the guys there are far more manly than NFL. No padding or helmets here
Sports: We're a sporting nation. Lots of active people
