Hakim Warrick is notably a poor defender. He is not strong enough in the post, gets pushed out the way when rebounding also he has always Been a sub par shot blockers for his size.

I think my previous rundown (and Swedd's current) still holds true. From what I've seen of him he's pretty "shoot happy" and a weaker defender. Pretty close to Tyrus...maybe a few more offensive moves but less defense...and very erratic.

He'll get more PT than Carroll but he's no savior by any means. I imagine by the end of the season we'll be wanting the team to decline next year's option. Good move for the now tho.

Plow you are correct....by no means in my post did i mean that he was a great defender...he is average to below average at best...i just meant that he has very long arms and stays busy down in the lane...when motivated he is very capable of blocking a shot here and there and also getting smaller guys who penetrate to alter their shots.....hopefully he still has the passion for the game and a passion for learning...if so then maybe Dunlap can light a fire and get him to play at a high level....bc i dont think there is any doubt that Warrick has the talent

Damn....I miss Bobcats basketball. I work nights, dont get to watch much any more. I have to say though Cho is trying a build a team instead of signing random useless players....Diop I'm looking at you....Mcguire? I cant even look at you
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

According to Hollinger; Warrick is lazy and bad on defense and loves 2 pt. elbow jumpers; tho he seems to have lost the ability to make them.

Then I'm watching Bobcats pregame and hear Dell say we got Warrick for "Defense!" Whut?!

Seems like a pointless trade to me. Warrick actually playing could hurt us more than Carroll sitting on the bench.

This will likely be Matt's last NBA season; I would have let him finish here unless a trade possibility had more impact.

I worry a little that this one is subtraction by addition.
    Bobcats Redemption?
