Matt being respected in the organization might matter after he is retired and has a meaningless front office job. Right now he's a player who can't play. Ask Marty Hurney who the Panther's just fired how paying guys who suck out of loyalty works out for your career. The fact is that Warrick could flourish in this system. And it's a minimal gamble. And he's not like Tyrus other than the fact that they are athletic. Tryus is good on defense but should never be allowed to shoot. Warrick is a pretty good scorer when he's on but sucks on d. Put them together and we have the sub par back up power forward we've all been dreaming of! lol. In all seriousness though,if works out it allows us to amnesty tyrus in the off season,be 2 deep at every position, and approach the draft and free agency for talent not desperation. If it doesn't we've lost nothing. I love the trade.

I think we got him because this system can bring the best out of him. He gets to play uptempo and run the floor, which is where he excelled back at 'Cuse. It will hide a lot of deficiencies. Really good move.
Totally agree. I remember him from the Suns, where he was a spark off the bench in their run and gun style. Another side benefit, IMO; this may mean Biyombo won't be playing much more PF, where he seems to struggle. Better at C, and he'll be able to focus there now that we got another PF who better fits Dunlap's style for that position. As for Carroll, again, didn't fit Dunlap's style, but with NO, he's more likely to see some PT than here. Net net, a small but good trade for both teams.

Bobcat8 i think we r all done with Tyrus...but unfortuantly we r stuck with him...bc no1 wants his sorry butt....unless we threw in a really good player..and its just not worth it...bc talent is very hard to come by...especially for us.....as for Warrick....whoever posted about him being overrated and being 29 and pretty much is who he is.....while i agree....the guy is still talented...and he wasnt with the suns that long ago....maybe with the right coaching the guy can give us 10-15 minutes...and 7 -8 points ans 4 rbds....i think he can def help us out more then Biz ( who looks more and more like a bust every game )....either way....adding Warrick is a very low risk move...if he works out its a huge plus and if he doesnt then we lose nothing and his 4 mill comes off the books next year ..along w Diop's 8 mill....giving us 12 mill to spend as well with a few more mill....Go Cats !!!

Yeah, but I'm hoping some team still thinks he can do something or develop a little better and try to make something happen.

The Lakers will look like fools if they sign Carroll.

Just like most of the ex-bobcats do, I expect Carroll will end up in San Antonio.

If Cho can get rid if Matt, maybe he can work his magic to get rid of Tyrus? Lets hope so.

If he manages to trade Tyrus for literally anyone or anything in the NBA, he deserves GM of the year.
