@Jennings.....i dont think there is any hope for that....at least not now....i was just looking at our salary cap situation and it kills me to see Tyrus ...he has 3 years left at 9.5 per year....it sucks bc he was great in college and played great with Chicago....and we traded for him the year we went to the playoffs and he came here and played great for us that year...he was a big reason as to why we went to the playoffs....so at the time it was a good trade and he came in and proved to be worth it....then as fast as u can snap your fingers the guy totally lost all resemblence of an NBA game....it really hurts to see how much $$ we owe him and even worse is how many years he is stuck here....but u know the real kicker that just makes it laughable to the rest of the NBA...the fact that we gave up a 1st round pick to get him...terrible....luckily Cho has worked his magic and got us 3 1st round picks since he has been our GM...so that kinda makes up for it but the loss of a 1st for Tyrus stings..our only chance of trading him is maybe be4 the deadline next year when he only has a year and half left on his contract...but i doubt it...in 2014/15 we will def be able to trade him bc he will be expiring and teams would love to have a 10 mill expiring....but until then it looks like we r stuck with him....he has played decent the past few games so im hoping Dunlap is getting him motivated and he can at least be a guy who can get us 10 pts 4 rbds a game

Charlotte Bobcats get consummate professional in Hakim Warrick

As a pro he has spent time both as a power forward and small forward. His biggest asset is a post-up game that has made him a career 49 percent shooter and sent him to the foul line over 1,800 times.

“Be aggressive, attack the rim and get to the foul line; these are things I’ve done throughout my career,” Warrick said after Friday’s practice. “And I can knock down the mid-range (jump shot) and bring energy.”

What I remember of the guy he takes a lot of midrange face ups, not very good at it and being very shot happy. If he can be a post up player then that's something we could definitely use. He's supposedly known as a decent P&R player...which is one of Dunlap's main things.

We do need other options so hopefully he'll be a positive asset for us.

I liked him at small forward, filling in for MKG and his foul trouble. Like it better than 3 guards. Gives us an option for a big front line on the second unit.

Yeah that's a good point. He can post up. This gives them another option in the post. Plus he can run the floor and finish. Really looking forward to seeing him gel with the guys.

I think Warrick was a great move....he will be very good for us this year coming off the bench for 10 -15 minutes a game...im looking forward to seeing what he can contribute the rest of the season...if he can give us good minutes and good production then we can prob offer him a 2 yr deal for the vet minimum after this season.....

I read Warrick was looking for a buyout with the Hornets. Anyone knows if his plans has changed after the trade?

I'd bet that was so he could go somewhere he could get some playing time. He'll have that opportunity here, so unless things go sideways for him, I think he'll be Ok hanging around here.

@isguros...Warrick was looking for a buyout with the Hornets bc he wasnt getting any playing time...Once he was traded to Charlotte and he knew we had 10 -15 minutes a game for him he no longer had an interest in a buyout..i was impressed with what the Hornets front office and coaching staff said about Warrick..they said he was such a hard worker and a model teamate that they felt he deserved to go to another team so he could get playing time....i think its obvious that the Hornets did Warrick and the Bobcats a favor by making that trade...the Hornets had no interest in Carroll and he prob wont see the floor very much if at all in New Orleans...and they only saved 500k by making the move...so this was pretty much done as a favor to both...im glad we could be part of it and swap a guy who would never had got out of his warm ups all season for a solid PF/SF who can contribute off the bench right away

Tyrus Thomas and Gerald Henderson did not participate in shootaround, so it's a reasonable assumption neither will play tonight.
Looks like Warrick will get a lot of playing time tonight.
