Yeah, I'm at the point where I'm going to enjoy whatever happens. My brain tells me we need to lose to get a high draft pick. My heart is wanting us to make the last minute shots and win. I've been a fan since they announced the new team, so I understand the treadmill cycle well. However, if it turns out we start winning a lot, I'm certainly not going to be disappointed. It will just be up to Cho to make it all work.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

Gamecock we are just going to have to disagree on this 1...i cant grasp any of your thinking on this subject....did u ever think that maybe we have our group of young guys already ??>..maybe we dont need another top 2 pick..maybe the guys that are going to HELP take us to the promise land are on the team already (including Sessions ) and that they just need some experience....i think it makes much more sense to win as much as possible and try and sneak in the playoffs and just let the pick fall where it falls....instead of losing to take a gamble on a draft pick..lets go out and sign us an Al Jefferson type with the $$ this offseason and just let the team grow..with the right coaching and chemistry anything is possible

I just dont understand trading Sessions at all...he is 1 of our most exciting players and a huge factor in why we are 5-4 right now....lets say we do trade Sessions for whatever package u can dream up ( altho reality is we wont get anything worth trading him for bc if teams wanted him that bad then there would have been a bidding war while he was a free agent ...i dont think many teams wanted him my friend..otherwise he would be playing for a contender and not the Bobcats ) then Sessions is now gone and we have a glarring hole at the backup PG spot as well as some minutes at the SG spot

so then what do we do ?? we use the draft pick from the Sessions trade to draft a PG to replace him??.bc we will have to replace him...that makes no sense to me at all...we have a really good combo at PG with Kemba and Sessions and neither are old...whos to say they cant be the combo thats here for the next 4-7 years and are a part of alot of Bobcats success??...PG is our strongest position right now and it needs to be left alone and enjoyed

This team isn't going to the playoffs, and if it did it would be a miracle of epic proportions. However, they also aren't terrible anymore. I can see them winning anywhere from 25-31 games or so. With Washington, Detroit, and even Toronto being pretty bad (thats just in the eastern conference alone) we would have to be about as bad as we were last year, and even then we still couldn't get the #1 pick. Play the games, develop the current talent, and let things fall into place.

beautiful people, please stop derailing this thread. This is just a .500+ fiesta, not a "do we tank" or "why do you want us to tank?" thread. Although I will say, winning WHILE rebuilding with a young group of players and a lot of salary cap flexibility on the horizon makes Charlotte a much more attractive option for other young players who want to win as opposed to us trading out of that to get a high pick. Should we fire Dunlap for being too good of a coach too? Bring back Paul Silas? I didn't even agree with the "let's blow it up logic" last time, I certainly don't want to blow it up after we literally could not get any worse then last year. Plus, relax, we will only be a 20-35 win team anyways...

    And we are 5-4!

its nice to be 5-4 with the realistic possibility of being 7-5 after the 3 upcoming games...as excited as i get i quickly remember the reality....prior to the season starting i predicted 20-25 wins ( which i was very happy with ) but this prediction was be4 i was able to see this team to play real live action and without seeing Kemba and Mullens major improvement , the great additions of Haywood and more importantly Sessions and lastly ..without seeing just how good and how fast MKG could contribute ...

So while i thnk the 8th seed is possible i am able to be more realistic and able to admit that we are a year or 2 away from being a playoff team..but i must admit that after witnessing these 1st 9 games i need to adjust my win total for this season.....22-23 games was my original thought but as it stands now i am thinking that the win total could actually increase by 8-10 games ( especially with our surprising ability to close out close games as such a young team

So as of right now i am thinking a win total this year of 30-32 games is very reachable

I think this year we finish in the 35 win range +/- 5 wins because you never know when Cho is going to turn some expiring contract into something that might be much better. 8th seed, who knows, thats a long way away, but who cares, we are playing great ball right now and I don't see us falling over dead this season like last. I think the best I could describe it, was remember the miami game at the start of last season that we stayed in all game and really shook them up, I feel better than that right now about us, its exciting again!
What to do, what to do...

I agree. Especially after last year, it's nice to finally have a team capable of engaging the interests of people outside of this forum.
