I agree. We most certainly need him for the depth and Hendo is a much better offensive option than JT is right now but with this young team winning with him on the bench show that he's every bit of expendable in the long term and shoot down the notion that he is currently the best player on the team as aforementioned during season previews.

I'd like to see him get to mesh with the new look of the team before writing him off.

Do y'all think that Gordon should be a key piece moving forward? How much money will Gordon want once his contract expires? Does Gordon want to play with the 'Cats once we're playoff-ready?

Hell no. My hope is after this season we swap Gordon for another 1st...that way even though Jax was a knucklehead who had his great moments he'll ultimately be considered the gift that keeps on giving.

As a Duke fan, a bobcats fan, and a gh fan I wanna see us resign him, but we might have to move forward. I really don't see Hendo getting better than he already is honestly.

I don't even think a team would swap a 1st for bg.. Around what picks do you think they would trade? I would like to see it happen thought.

I'm sure I would have said the same thing about Maggette.

    Trust in the CHO.

No. I like BG, but I don't think he is a key piece moving forward. He was just a temporary fix to help us avoid the league's worst record ever again and getting a 1st round pick with it was the biggest asset of the deal. I'm sure BG will move on to a contender for the MLE if he isn't traded as an expiring contract by next season. Even if we become playoff ready I doubt that he would want to play 6th man for an up and coming team when he can get much more acclaim for team that's already competing for the championship. Look at the wonders that it has done to exploit Jamal Crawford's name with the Clippers. BG will be looking for a similar place to make his name noteworthy again. I just hope it's not the Heat.

My hope with BG is that he plays lights out this year and then goes for the big money after the season by not opting in for the last year of his contract. I could see him leaving 13 million on the table if he could get someone to agree to a 4 year 30+ million deal (and stranger things have happened). Otherwise I suspect we trade him by next seasons deadline. As far as GH is concerned, I wouldn't go over 7 million a year. If his people make it clear they want much more than that, then we QO him next year at 4.3 million and then try to trade him prior to the deadline. Also, with Sessions playing this well, it wouldn't shock me to see us move him for assets prior to the end of his deal.
