    Default Post Offense

This is absolutely killing me. Outside of Byron, who has flashes, we don't have any real threat of a low post offense. And that is going to handicap us when we go up against good teams like Memphis. Haywood has a little bit of ability with his jump hook, and Warrick has some ability down there, but until we can get one guy who is a threat down there consistently, we have to rely on guard penetration and one on one play in the halfcourt offense. And as we saw last night, that gets us down by 15 after three quarters against good teams.

I think that's the next focus of the draft, whether it be a shooting guard or a big man, someone who can play one on one down low and open things up more for the guards to penetrate or Mullens and our other "shooters" to hit open jump shots. That's why they went so hard after Landry and I was upset we didn't get him, but at least they realize what the next huge weakness is.

I would like to see MKG down here more, he can be crafty around the basket and draw some fouls. What do you guys think?

    Agree 100%.

Al Jefferson is a free agent after this season..

One more good draft and a quality low post threat and we will be a dangerous team.

i def think we are solid at the 1-3 spots with Kemba / Sessions / Henderson / Gordon / MKG....and i think we have a cpl decent bigs in Mullens / Haywood and Biz...but i agree we dont have a guy with a solid post game...luckily we have a few 1st round picks in the upcoming years and after this year we will have 10-15 million to play with ..i really think we have a nice group of young guys and a cpl vets and if we can add a really good big man ala AL Jefferson we might have ourselves a playoffs team....so i think our main priority in this upcoming offseason is a proven big man with a good post game

Kemba/Sessions/MKG/JT yes...I'd much rather get a good shooting guard in the draft for the future then keep henderson or gordon...
I've posted before but for guards we should aim for:
    A)CJ McCollum
    B)Kentavious Calwell-Pope
C)BJ Young (If available in the 2nd round)

I really don't like the hype that is Shabazz...

For the low post, we should either Zeller if Available or either Alex Lun or James McAdoo this year...in 2014 if we get another top pic...we should get either James Young/Jabari Parker/Andrew Wiggins or Rodney Purvis...if we're picking bigs we should get Julius Randle...

i personally think that the combo of Henderson and Gordon is a pretty good combo at the 2 guard spot....especially with them both having totally different games and can compliment each other...i think our weakness is at the 4 and 5 spot not at the 2 spot...of course we are entitled to our own opinion but me personaly i think we can be a playoff team with what we have the Pg and Sg spots and that goes for the starters at those positions and their backups...Gordon has this year and next year left on his contract so he is going to be here at least thru next season...Henderson is a free agent and we can trade him or give him the qualifying offer or i guess a long term deal...the front office is going to have to decide pretty soon what they want to do at SG spot long term...if we are planning on having Henderson here next season and obviously Gordon here as well then drafting a 2 guard with what will prob be a high 1st round pick might be a bad move..that woud leave us with prob a top 5 or 6 pick who would be a 3rd option at SG and wouldnt see much playing time...if our plan is to draft 1 of the top SG's in the draft then we would have to let Henderson walk or trade Gordon or Henderson..i def do not want to let Henderson just walk with no compensation...we too often just let our 1st round draft picks sign with other teams or just let their contracts run out with nothing in return..Henderson is 1 of the few draft picks that we have had whom we can get something in return for...im not a big Henderson fan but i am open to keeping him if he signs a reasonable long term deal..as for Gordon if we decide we dont want to keep him then he will be an easy guy to trade next year since he will have nearly 13 million expiring...if it were up to me i would keep both guys and draft a big man as well as sign a big time veteran big man if 1 becomes available to us ..that would give us a vet to step in immediately to give us our post offense as well as a young big man who will have the luxury of having time to develop

the thing is i rather go the OKC way and completely build from scratch...I honestly wouldnt want us to make the playoffs until 2015 or else we'd leave to much talent on the board...OKC literally drafted Durant and Green...then drafted Ibaka and Westbrook...then drafted Harden...We need 3 strong drafts before we can even think of contending...Henderson is a decent 2 guard with athletic ability but he has pretty much reached his ceiling...I'd much rather have him become a knockdown 3 point shooter a la Michael Finley with the Spurs...

    with the ability too draft:
CJ McCollum (Very skilled guard from Lehigh...reminds me of Dion Waiters) 2013 very high basketball IQ
Andrew Wiggins (He'll be compared to Lebron) 2014
Jabari Parker (He'll be compared to Carmelo) 2014
Rodney Purvis (He'll be compared to Wade) 2013 or 2014
James Young (Reminds me of a young James Harden) 2014

It's hard for me to value our position at the 2...Like I said, if we go with a big that's also good...I'd pick Zeller or Alex Len...I see nothing in Nerlens Noel...I'd also pass up on Shabazz...It's just my opinion

I totally understand what you are saying about about not making the playoffs so that we can have high draft picks for the next few years...but i have to respectfully disagree with you...i would never want to sacrafice winning games or making the playoffs so that we can have a higher draft pick....even if that means getting in with the 8 seed and getting swept in the 1st round..i think any type of winning and any playoff experience is a great learning experience for our young guys ...i think its safe to say that we wont make the playoffs this year and will have a top 10 pick and possibly a top 5 pick...even though this draft doesnt look like its too strong to me we can add a quality player this year...but after this year i want to start seeing us win more games and making a push for the playoffs..i know it wasnt with Cho but we have had pleny of terrible seasons and plenty of high draft picks already in our history..its getting old..i have always been a believer in winning as much as possible and just letting the picks fall into place...also we will have 2 drafts in the next 3 or 4 were we have multiple 1st round picks and can always package them and move up..as for Henderson i dont think he will ever be a knockdown 3 point shooter...its just not his game...i do agree that he isnt too far away from his ceiling as a player but i really do think that him and Gordon are a nice combo...or trading Gordon next year and having Henderson and some1 from the draft or free agency...either way in the short time Cho has been here i think he has done an amazing job fixing our salary cap and putting together a really solid team of young guys and vets...i think we are a really good big man / a few other pieces and just time and experience away from being a pretty good team

we can both agree Cho has done a great job...I disagree that next year it would be a good choice to make an 8th seed...The 2014 draft is too strong to want to pass up on that...These are trascendental players that I think it would be foolish to pass up on...Like you said the losing was without Cho...we actually have a direction and a plan of action...The good thing about were we are is that we are COMPETING...that's all i can ask for...last year we simply tanked since game 1...If we can finish with the 3rd to 5 worst record i'd be happy...

I agree ..as far as this year I am not worried about our final record ..I am more concerned with seeing improvement as the year goes on and seeing the team compete and give 100% night in and night out ..so far thru 8 games I have seen just that ..as for you mentioning that the draft in 2014 is way to strong to make the playoffs and miss out on a lottery pick ?? .it's hard for me to grasp that bc that's a year and a half from now and most of the guys who will be in that draft are seniors in high school right now ..call me crazy but I think it's a bit premature to say that the 2014 draft is going to be really strong when we haven't seen most of these guys play yet ..even the guys who are freshman this year and plan on coming out in 2014 have only played 4 or 5 games ..I still would much rather make the playoffs next year and just let the whole draft thing play itself out

If we get one more really good draft pick again next year and sign someone around Al Jeffersons talent level we'll be very promising
