There is one person holding us back from having an efficient half court offense. His name is Byron Mullens. An efficient scoring post up guy with some passing ability would be amazing. If we really wanted to win this year I'd try to pry Horford from Atlanta

we are also minus perimeter shooters.

and we need two efficient bigs. mullens is a second unit guy. haywood is a fallen log at this point and biz is still way to raw to warrant a starting role.

mkg is clearly a starter. if kemba is to be the starter in the future we need a stretch 4 (ryan anderson comes to mind) and offensive center (greg monroe, cousins, gasol or even hibbert if he wasn't playing like a turd). not saying we need to get those guys, but that type of player via draft or trade once we get a surefire star like wiggins.

Read and React offenses incorporate everything from dribble penetration..pick and rolls...basket cuts...without having to run plays...there are principles that you drill such as back door cuts or cutting after feeding the post and how to refill spots...

There are literally endless possibilities...HAND CUFFING would be the last thing I have in mind...

Here are examples of dribble penetrations...
ok. judging by your examples we were talking about the offense when i said drive and kick and you said read and react. but this is not the princeton offense. not opposed to read and react but right now our personnel is terrible for this and it is yet to be seen whether kemba could effectively manage this type of offense. his passing decisions are still not there. (not looking to defend this opinion yet. so please don't argue it. i am really waiting to mid-season to see where the improvement in this area is before i am ready to argue one way or the other.)

Haha i wasn't going to argue that point anyways. But when I talked about the offense, I was clearly thinking of the future (hopefully with wiggins or parker)...Or it would be cool to draft Julius Randle if we wanted a Chris Webber type player...

Anyways, things look bright for the future so I'm not too worried...

The Princeton offense would be terrible for us lmao..Considering everyone on the floor has to be able to shoot..

I'm grouping the princeton..georgetown..read & react...and triangle all into the same group...THEY ARE ALL READ AND REACT DEFENSES...It's not hard to coach getting shots from where our team is most effective (mid-range and layups)...It's not like our bigs should be shooting 3's...but Mullens can make the free throw line extended jumpshot...Kemba can drive to the hole or pull up midrange...you telling me that our team is inadequately equipped to make backdoor cuts or cuts off of post feeds? That our offense can't make Laker cuts?

By running the read and react that doesn't mean we slow down the game either...The 02 Kings ran a lot...they utilized their understanding of backdoor cuts seamlessly go from fastbreak to secondary break to half court offense...

THIS IS GOING TO BE MY LAST EXAMPLE...Let's look at the Lakers running the Princeton Offense (I say princeton, but you can replace it with READ & REACT...ITS THE SAME THING!!!)
Besides when Kobe make's 3 point jumpers...the rest of the time he get's EASY scores off of backdoor or basket cuts...
