I have a feeling that a "jaw dropping trade" offer will be thrown at us for Sessions if he's still playing at this level come February.
Unless a jaw dropping trade is thrown at us, I want to see Sessions long term. He has been great this whole season. It allows the pressure to be taken off Kemba. In case people are forgetting, Kemba is still young and developing as a player. Lets work these two together and see what is to become of these guys.

Sessions has been outstanding this year...he seems to always hit the big shot when we need it desperately....and when the game on the line the guy is automatic from the line.....its impressive to see him as our 2nd leading scorer and possibly our leading scorer a month from now... and he is coming off the bench...if it werent for Jamaal Crawford and his unreal stats this year then Sessions would be 6 man of the year so far
I dont really have any interest in trading Sessions....we were last in points scored last year and he has brought something to this team that we didnt have last year and has been a huge reason as to why we have gone from dead last in scoring to i think top 10...but this isnt the only reason i dont want to trade him...he also solidifies what has the chance to be the best PG duo in the NBA by seasons end..also he isnt scared to take the game winner or take a shot with the game on the line....thats something we desperately lacked last yr
Also i see alot of people refferring to Sessions as a fill in like he is some 33 yr old vet who can give us a year or 2 until we draft and groom some1 from the draft....the reality is that Sessions is only 26 years old and has improved every year over the past 3 or 4....Sessions is just now coming into his prime and i see his game only improving over the next cpl years....i would rather part with Henderson and definately Gordon be4 i parted with Sessions...even if we have a long term plan i think Sessions can very much be a part of that..he will be in his prime for the next 3 years or so and can be a perfect 6th man and backup PG for us for the next 6 -7 years
I know its early but if there is 1 player that we aquired in the offseason that i want to keep long term (obviously aside from MKG ) it would definately be Sessions....he has 2 yrs left on his deal and if he continues to play at this level i think its a no brainer that we resign him..the ONLY way i would ever consider trading him is if another team totally blew us out of the water and offered us a deal we could not refuse...otherwise i wanna see Sessions remain a Cat thru this growing period and our future success

Do you think that Sessions could become to us what Dell Curry was to the Hornets? A big time scorer off the bench?
Get at me on twitter @dcarnys
He's making 5 million a year right now. How much do you pay a Dell Curry is the question?

jason terry and jamal crawford are both making in the 5-6 million range. i would guess the team is fine keeping sessions around for that price, although ideally, you want to be in contender status before you bring on players like that, who are generally considered "finishing touches" for a high level team. sessions is definitely having an awesome impact on kemba, though, and that can't be discounted.
at the end of the day , i believe the team will move sessions, either this year or next, as long as they are getting assets they consider equal or greater in return. i really doubt the team will want to risk him entering into free agency. i assume they will be spending money on keeping kemba, who hopefully won't need a player like sessions at that point, and will offset that price increase through having a rookie back up pg or a vet on a low dollar deal.
Maybe it's just my expectations/preconceptions of him, but he's been amazing so far. I thought he'd be an upgrade over DJ but he's been so much more. A go-to scorer, clutch, mentor (if not overtly, then through example) to Kemba, and better-than-expected defender.
And like others've said, his stellar play has the added bonus of him being a legit asset, especially as the season moves forward.
Welcome to this Cho-crafted brand new world of Bobcats basketball, folks, and please, enjoy!

There will be a team that thinks that Sessions is that one piece that can put them over the top, and be a contender. Hopefully that team is willing to give up quiet a bit, and Sessions continues on this pace that hes on.
Even with all of that I'm not sure I would trade him. He is much, much better than what I thought he was going to be, and I already knew he was going to be solid.
I loved the fact that Mon Sessions wanted to play for us, and he's doing better than I expected. But for a really high pick I would love to see that move. Too bad nobody will do that lmao
I dont want Sessions to go anywhere....i think he is very happy here and it in the perfect situation for him to succeed..and he is doing just that...17 points 5 assists and 4 rbds....thats a pretty damn good stat line for a guy that comes off the bench...if not for Jamaal Crawford and his nearly 21 points a game in only 27-28 minutes...then Sessions would def be a contender for 6th man of the year
as for trading Sessions...I think it would be idiotic to trade Sessions...him and Kemba together pretty much solidify the PG position for us..Kemba is only 22 and Sessions is only 26 so if we want to ( which i do ) we can have this combo at PG for the next 6 or 7 years...they are both under contract for the next couple years but i think if they continue to improve and play at or above the same level then i think its a no brainer that both get extended when their current deals expire...
Trading Sessions makes no sense to me at all...why trade a guy who is playing at the level he is ?? its kinda like the old saying/...."if it aint broke then dont fix it "...trading Sessions just means that we will have a major void at the backup PG spot and then we will have to spend the next 2-3 years finding some1 to replace him that fits..and the chances of finding a backup PG of his caliber who is actually more then fine being Kemba's backup would be 1 tought task...so why trade him and have to find a replacement when we already have a good thing going
Lastly ...do u guys honestly think we are going to get alot in return for Sessions??..i honestly dont think we would get enough in return to even consider it...now dont get me wrong , if some team offered same insane deal for Sessions then i might have to consider it...but the reality is that Sessions was just a free agent a few months ago and if i recall there werent many teams interested...who would come to Charlotte and play for the worst team in NBA history at 2 years 10 million if they had multiple teams throwing $$ at him...there obviously werent many teams interested in him and im guessing 2 years @5 mill each year was prob the best offer out there....even though he has started out playing great this year...what makes u think that all of a sudden there are going to be teams out there wiling to part with players and or draft picks for him??...i dont think there would be a deal out there worth even listen to..All good GM's keep their ears open to all offers that present themself...and im sure if a deal came to Cho that blew his socks off then he would consider it
I think that this team really needs a guy like Sessions to be successful..we are very young and inexperienced...so to have a guy like Sessions (who has proven that he is very clutch / doesnt get rattled and can score in many different ways) is priceless....i really enjoy watching him play and look forward to having him be a part of our growth and future success ....GO Cats !!! and Go Sessions!!
