    Default SG Minutes

So when Hendo comes back, how are minutes going to be split up with Gordon, Hendo, and Jeff? Will Jeff become primarily the SF backup to MKG? Or will Hendo be on the bench as the backup to MKG..

Hard to tell. Need to maximize his trade value but also need to bring him back slowly to keep him healthy. We've also seen that Viking is definitely deserving of 20+ minutes a night.

Chalk this up as a great problem to have

I think you nailed it with Jeff backing up MKG and Hendo going back into the starting lineup.

My guess is Sessions minutes drop a bit, and JT becomes the primary backup to MKG. Gordon stays about the same.

i think everyone will drop about 2-3 minutes and we will see more small ball with MKG at the 4. That should give hendo his 30 min

Jeff Taylor will be the backup to MKG and more small ball with MKG at the 4...maybe they would use JT at the 3 MKG at 4 and hendo at 2? who knows...but i think we will end up trading henderson and let JT start at the 2 eventually

sessions, jt and mkg play much more to kemba's strengths. the offense is better spaced and much more conducive to kemba's dribble/drive. we need to bring him back as a second unit guy under the guise of "slowly bring him back". get him playing well and then move him.

We are playing so good right now with our current lineup it makes u wonder how getting Henderson back will affect our current chemistry......getting a guy like Henderson back can only help us in the long run ( bc he is a good player and with him starting it makes our bench even better)....but how will it affect us in the short term??

As for minutes....im pretty sure Dunlap and his staff already have a plan for when Henderson comes back...im sure Henderson will go back to starting at the 2 so that obviously puts Taylor back on the bench...Gordon will be Henderson's backup and Taylor will be MKG's backup..be4 Henderson got hurt Taylor was listed at SF and was backing up MKG...so i think that will return to how it was and Taylor will play the 3 but he might still defend the other teams SG...it seems as tho Dunlap has alot of confidence in Taylor's defense...thats evident in the fact that Dunlap has Taylor guarding the other teams best player every night ...i dont think Sessions's minutes will be affected to much ...at least i hope not bc Sessions has been 1 of if not the most important keys to our success...im not sure how Dunlap is going to make all of this work but i have confidence in him and im sure he will figure it out

The most important thing about this debate is the debate itself....who would have thought this time last year that we would be having trouble with evenly distributing minutes bc we have too much talent and not enough spots....its a great problem to have

No. He wasn't MKG's backup. He was DNP for the Pacers game. Then, because of the blowout, he had garbage min for the Mavs game. Then he was instantly thrust into the starting lineup. Ben Gordon was the first rotation off the bench to replace MKG for the first two games before Taylor became a starter.
