excellent thread. take advantage zig.
WOW! last time I looked we were 5th!
It sure is nice to be able to look at the standings and see us holding down the 3rd seed ..we should all enjoy it while it lasts bc once we start playing some better teams and play more road games and games vs the elite in the west that we will come back down to reality a bit ..I don't expect us to have no chance and to get blown out by the really good teams but we are going to suffer some losses ..I fully expect us to continue to win games but it's going to be very hard to stay above 500 as the season progresses ...I think our main focus should be protecting our home court and make sure we take care of business on our home floor ..thats how we got in the playoffs a few years back ..we were terrible on the road but finished like 29 - 12 @ home ...if we can win 25 of our home games it will go a long way for this team ..to me it seems like Dunlap stresses the really important things ..winning @ home / playing defense / protecting the ball and making free throws
This is a huge step in the right direction for Charlotte basketball. It is wonderful to see such a rapid turn around. With all the money coming off the books in the next few years I think even if we don't get an awesome draft pick this year we will end up attracting a decent free agent that can push us into the past the first round territory.

the astericks prob mean those teams played late games and their results of those games arent factored into the standings listed...
@ Talent..i agree...that even if we dont end up with a great draft pick this year that we will be fine...bc of the $$ coming off the books and bc we have 2 really really big time expiring deals that we can use as bargining chips to get players and or draft picks in return....and with us changing the culture of this team from a losing team / city into a winning organization with MJ running the show that we will attract more players then we have in the past
If we make the playoffs this year and end up losing our draft pick to Chicago , i dont think that will be a horrible thing...in my opinion this draft is pretty weak and i really dont want having to give up that pick hanging over our head season after season...i would rather give it up this year then in 2014 when the draft will be better...and who knows we might end up getting Portlands pick this year if they make the playoffs...so we might have a pick even if we make the playoffs...
Cho has really turned this organization around...just think a cpl years ago..we had Wallace and Jackson and all those guys..we were no better then a 7-8 seed and we were in salary cap hell....fast forward 2 years and we have 1 of the better cap situations in the league...we have some really good barganing chips in Diop and Gordons expiring deals...we have some really nice young talent and a great core...and we have 2 picks owed to us in Portlands ( which will prob be 14-18 ) and the Detroit pick ( which i think could be our gem ) this pick could end up being a top 3 pick and maybe even a # 1 pick....we have so many options and soo much flexibility its insane ...it really is a great time to be a Bobcats fan....and on top of that we are going thru a rebuilding phase and are still winning games and playing great in the meantime...
