Default NBA says officials missed call in Raptors-Bobcats game

    http://www.nba.com/2012/news/11/22/n...s=iref:nbahpts

Thoughts? Normally I'm pretty upset when refs get things wrong (Even if it's against my team, I try not to be biased), but the Raptors sort of had FIVE chances in the last 30 seconds or so to win the game. Still...we're only a correct foul call away from being .500 right now.

It's a part of the game. It worked to our favor this time. It will probably work against us in the future. You have to accept it regardless. You can't eliminate the human element.

yes because every call against us was 100% perfect and they didn't miss a single other call so this decided the game

    right

They missed a lot of calls in that game. I never liked Violet as an official not because she is a women, but because she makes horrible calls in almost every game she officiates. After last year I think the team deserves some good luck here and there. As mentioned above missed calls are part of the game and you have to learn how to play through them or take advantage of them like the Bobcats did the other day against Toronto.

Yep, i think it all evens out. There were plenty of times early in that game that Kemba went into the lane and got smacked around with no call. It even happened enough that Kemba got a tech for complaining about it, which is rare for him. It was a poorly officiated game overall, no doubt, but I find it hard to feel any sympathy for a team that had 5 chances in 28 seconds (many at the rim) and could convert on exactly none of them.

There will be a call like this that goes against the Cats at some point, I'm sure. Happens to every team sooner or later...thems the breaks, you know?

obvious missed foul. shit happens. i remember we lost a game to the pacers 2 or 3 years ago on a botched last second call or no call. didn't cry then, not crying now.

Didn't notice the foul myself until the replays. MKG did a good job in covering it up.

I have three theories for this:

    1) Raptor fans are the most paranoid, insecure, conspiracy-driven fans, and they must've started a campaign to deluge the NBA office with hate emails until the league threw them a bone, to justify their feelings of persecution.

    2) The ref looked at 7'0 Bargnani, looked at 6'7 MKG, then looked back at 7'0 Bargnani and decided he would never again reward Ms. Andrea's pussified approach to being a big man and refusing to ever set foot in the paint

    3) The refs finally got the memo that MKG will get the star treatment from now on.
