gotta disagree after the performance last night. going 5-10 from beyond the ark really helped the Bcats win but i still think 10 is too much. he has 9 boards a game so that soesnt concern me as much

I noticed it happening even before OT. Someone tweeted @bobcatsPR about it and BJ Evans tweeted back calling it a bad observation because his teammates loved to see him shoot because he's one of the best shooters on the team"

I fired back and got " your entitled to your opinion" response.

It definately happened on multiple occasions by Kemba, Ramon, and Gordon.

By the way, he was 2-7 at one point from 3, he actually missed an 8th 3 pointer but, was bailed out by a foul. bJ hit all 3 FT's and got some confidence and then hit 3 in a row ( I think that's how it went)

my main concern on kemba being a starting pg. he still can not negotiate a pick a roll if he doesn't take it all the way to the rim. he does not see the roll, seldom makes the correct pass and does not anticipate the defense well at all.

No one else was throwing it to him either. So was that all our guards not seeing the roll?

People keep talking about Kemba not being able to negotiate a pick & roll. I want to know which one of our frontcourt players (besides Tyrus Thomas/Hakim Warrick) can negotiate the roll while they're slashing once they catch the ball at the free throw line to finish. Mullens never roll, and opt to pick & pop instead. Haywood can't put the ball on the floor. Biyombo can't catch. I want to know

yes. sessions tends to keep it. that is why he is better off the bench too. maybe it is the coaching staff not emphasizing it, but it was a problem for kemba last year and this year. granted, our big men suck but our guards have plenty of problems running the pick and roll. the bigs are pro's so you have to throw it to them or not play them.

mullens does roll. biz is actually really good at the pick and dive but he does not ever get the pass. actually at one point late in the wiz game he sprinted on the break, did an excellent pindown about three feet from the rim with a small on his back and kemba looked him off. poor decision. you have to throw it to him there. if he can't catch it, it is on him and he shouldn't be in the game.

in a basic pick and roll, the big doesn't have to dribble more than once to get a shot up. all of our bigs can convert it if done correctly. the pass is very rarely on time from our guards.

Once again, what are you talking about? Sessions has a reputation around the league for being known as a good pick & roll PG. You might want to Google it. Anyway, the roll man in the Bobcats pick & roll game won't be effective until there's a athletic scoring big on the roster. We simply don't have the personnel in the frontcourt, not the PG. The last time I checked, we don't have no Karl Malone, no Amare Stoudemire, no Pau Gasol, no Joakim Noah, or no Dwight Howard. Heck, we don't even have a Anderson Varejao. Those are the type of players that make a pick & roll effective because they have to know how to take at least one dribble once they catch the ball around the free throw line, then make a decision on rather to finish or pass.
