I have nothing against Hendo, but I've never been a fan of him being the starting SG of the future, or even the face of our Bobcats team in the media because it just spelled mediocrity. To me, his offense & defense is average, and better suited for that of a decent backup. I know he lead our team in scoring last season, but what does that really say? We were the worst NBA team in history with him at the helm.

I hope Cho is finding suitors right now before his return from injury, and hopefully we can swing a deal for him immediately after one of his 15-point performances. I think some of you may be getting spoiled by Sessions' & Gordon's effortless scoring numbers and expect Hendo to easily be able to duplicate those efforts in limited minutes, but let me be the first to tell you that he won't.

Henderson is by no means an all star but he is also not a bum ..he is an above average player that plays solid defense ( better then most NBA 2 guards ) and he has a solid jumper and the ability to score in other ways ..I do not think he is our answer as a long term starter if we want this team to compete to win the east..but I do think with him along side Taylor that the 2 together can very much be our SG's in a team competing for the East ..what I would like to see is him and Taylor splitting minutes ..meaning whoever starts is not important ..it would be even better if he would be willing to come off the bench but that's unlikely

We also have to consider that he is only 24 years old and that he will still improve and who knows this might be his breakout year ..I wouldn't trade him just to trade him but if there is a team out there willing to offer us a great deal then I'm sure Cho will consider ..if not then I think we should offer him a 4 year 24-28 million deal and if he turns it down then just give him his 4.5 million qualifying offer and then try and work out a trade next year ..I don't want to overpay him and I don't want to trade him just to make a trade ( we need the depth at SG )..he has talent and him and Taylor together could solidify our SG spot and we would have 2 guys who play solid D and who can both score ..I'm interested to see how it plays out

Im for keeping Henderson unless we get a very good offer for him. I'm not sure why we couldn't have Henderson back up or start over Taylor, and both of them log minutes here and there at SF, especially since MKG is continuously in foul trouble.

    that's a really good point

mkg has been in foul trouble for the past two weeks or so. it'd be good having someone to fill the shoes there

I think it will depend on what he wants money-wise. Clearly he's an alright player (although I think he's a bench guy) and gives us some value but if he wants to play around too much he can walk like DJ. Although I'd prefer to get something for him (as we've been bad about not getting anything at all in the past when we might have had a chance to).

One difference is their height. I would probably go with Hendo on D Wade when we play the heat, but put Taylor on Joe Johnson if we play the Nets.

We don't have to sweat Hendo's contract just let it play out. We have cap room next year. If a good trade comes up for somebody like Horford or Aldridge I would be down for that. Lets see what another team will offer, might be a value contract we want to match when he is restricted. Give him the qualifying offer and then offer the contract we think he is worth. The team can afford to be nice about it but refuse to overpay. If he walks we have Taylor.

I'd rather Jeff Taylor play than Hendo tbh. Don't really see him meshing with us in the future..
I think the frontoffice already knows how successful we've been w/o Hendo. If Hendo comes back and we're out of rhythm and struggle again, the frontoffice will DEFINETELY see this happening & will probably make a move. That's just what I think..

Why not Jeffrey Taylor on D Wade?

Ok...My question is Henderson better than watching Ben Gordan launch up shot after shot then get abused on the defensive end? I like Hendo even though he went to Duke. I still think Hr has a good future here. I'm not against a trade but a Henderson/Taylor rotation is a pretty good defensive lock down group on the SG's. They both fit well in this offense but probably neither will ever be a Allstar here or anywhere else. As a pair a think we have something.
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it
