Default Does anyone else notice this? (About MKG)

I know i'm not the only one who notices that MKG is one of the LESS talked about rookies when he's the 2nd or 3rd best rookie. I mean other than that 25 & 12 game I haven't heard much talk about MKG. Maybe it's cause he doesn't have a really appealing game of like players like Waiters? Even thought MKG is playing better than Waiters, dude Waiters is still talked about more than him.

    Anyone else notice this?

Meh, that's the way I would prefer it. I don't want the media building him up. The less pressure the better. Also remember he doesn't really like the media, so that's probably one reason. The coaches will appreciate his skill set and that's all that matters

Yeah, I guess it's better that way..I just don't like the fact I don't think he gets enough credit..

I was on the T.Rob bandwagon. But admitting I knew nothing about any of the players, I thought a scoring big was what we needed most. But I've truly been impressed with MKG. He fills up the stat sheet. Probably doesn't get talked about because he doesn't score over 20 but come on, those are some good numbers for a rookie. I know it's early in the season but Crash Jr. is looking like a really solid pick.
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

its funny because if you look on NBA.com there a bunch of rookie interviews and such, talking to rookies in NBATV studio. The Rooks series on NBATV. MKG won't be in any of that because of his condition. from an extremely selfish perspective, its a blessing for us. If you hate the media, Charlotte is definitely the place to be a franchise guy.

this is one of the main reasons. he will never be a kyrie-type personality (for that matter neither is davis or lillard) but until he can give a good interview it will be hard for him to get the attention he deserves.

right now, it is a good thing.

The Bobcats are protecting him from the media. I don't think he has given one interview since the season began, and probably won't for the entire season with his speech impediment and his anxiety around the media.

Unless a guy puts up ridiculous numbers, nobody pays attention to anything but points. MKG has the league's respect. That's all that really matters. Kemba will get the press.

Exactly. And I'm sure any organization that got him would do the same thing but I love how we're protective of him since he really is just a kid, plus his condition. Gotta make him feel good to be around a such a supportive and understanding organization. MKG knows, from crowd reactions, that his fan base loves him and that's enough.
