Also, if Chalmers and Joel Anthony were not on the Heat, they would be free agents. Nobody else needs them, and they are both useless
I have a friend who is a big Chalmers fan, and we used to argue all the time about how overrated he was just because he's on the heat.
I am now convinced that Chalmers is one of the worst players in the NBA, look at this stat line:
26 mpg
6.7 ppg
2.7 RPG
4.6 AST
1.7 stl
Shooting 41% from the field... This man plays 26 mpg and 28mpg last year and STILL didn't do much.. If Earl Watson, Tinsley, Eric Maynor, Jimmer (or any pg that doesn't play the minutes he plays) they would do a lot more than Chalmers is doing now..
Also, if Chalmers and Joel Anthony were not on the Heat, they would be free agents. Nobody else needs them, and they are both useless
I kinda like Chalmers. He is one of the better defensive point guards in the league and he's putting up decent numbers (if you keep in mind he's playing with a lot of great players). He's probably not the best fit for a team like Miami, but I expect him to be a much better player in the future than he is now.
He did look like the Heat's second best player in multiple playoff games in their championship run. I think he's a solid PG who just really doesn't have to do much since the big 3 are there.
I wouldn't judge a player on their first and second year in the league *Shrugs*. I'm not saying he's great by any means, but there's a LOT of worst PGs in the league.
Like who? Ronnie Price, Telfair, Smush Parker, ppl like that with 26 mpg would do a lot better than he's doing. The team makes him look good when you watch him play, but if you go look at his numbers after the game your like "wow, this guy didn't even do anything!"
