Got an idea. Let's all work together on making a list of tradeable players that we could get here.
Rules:
1. do not post the actual trade so it goes into Def. Trade Idea thread
2. list the player you think is available
3. give only the most valuable piece we send back
4. must be realistic ie don't write wade: our number #1 unprotected because wade isn't available and if he were we don't have enough assets to trade for him anyway
5. other team's picks also count
we then vote approval (thanks button). first seven ideas that get 5 "thanks", the game stops and we then go player/pick by player/pick and try to make a legit and fair trade.
i will start
tyreke evans: detroit pick

Is the goal to get the 7 best players, 7 best deals, 7 best....
Derrick Williams :: Gerald Henderson
Drew Gooden :: Gana Diop
Before anyone slaughters me I'd of course have more incentive coming our way.
...and I probably still wouldn't like it.

remember, we don't have to spell out the trade here. so it is perfectly ok to post something like henderson: toronto pick if those are the two most valuable parts. in other words, just post the most valuable piece coming and going.
so in your example, if you are thinking of getting the bucks pick and that is more valuable in your opinion list it as diop: bucks pick and we will "thank" it to the next stage in the process. just make sure you have a fair trade worked up as a starting point.
i was trying to get a way to get this posted. sessions: washington #1 top 2 protected. but i just couldn't see why washington would do a mek for sessions, diop and pick deal. so i didn't post it.

again, that is part of it. judging by your posted offer, i would expect we would be taking back a bunch of garbage. that is part of the exercise though. we settle on 7 deals to explore. develop them and ultimately we will pick our top 1 or 2 deals to finalize.
i see this type of exercise similar in process to the way real gm's do it.
mil gm: hello
cho: hey, let's talk about your #1 this year
mil gm: i am listening, but you better start taking salary from us
cho: ok, gooden, x, y for diop, sessions etc
basically, it could be a fun way to change up the fake trade threads from check this out and a bunch of "no way that happens" responses.
i think it can be a much more constructive waste of time exercise.
pau gasol :: MKG
or, the worst trade ever.
