What about Harringtons slightly bad contract and a next year first for Diop and Hendo ,. Harrington solidifys the power foward position and we net a 2013 first. Thoughts on that

Cats trade Diop for Drew Gooden and Doron Lamb from the Bucks. It would give the Cats a serviceable PF who is paid league standard for his output (Harrington and Big Baby Davis gets a similar salary for similar numbers). Yes, the Cats would need to take his 3 years contract and thereby ruining their cap situation but Lamb would be a deal sweetener as a high 2nd round pick. Just like in the Margette/Gordon trade in which the 1st rounder was the deal sweetener. Lamb could blossom in CHA by playing with MKG.
Bucks would like the trade cause they would avoid amnestying Gooden by the end of the season. Still the loss of the cap space could bite the Cats in the tail when a player like Boozer is amnestied and becomes available for little money.
    Welcome to the forum!

Yeah that's kind of like mine but I was asking for the 1st. Lamb is probably just as good though as MIL most likely makes the playoffs and the pick would be 16th-18th range in a supposedly weak draft.

I can't stand Gooden though. With him and Gordon on the team at the same time I'd be doing a lot of yelling at the TV.

someone help me come up with a trade to get marshon brooks. i looked at brooklyn's salary and i think it is going to have to be 3 teamer unless we do hendo and port pick for brooks.

i would do that, i think.

brooklyn's needs would be a good sf to help crash (god, he looks old and slow. setting up to be a horrid contract) and maybe a scoring sg for the 2nd unit. ben gordon would be perfect if he were an expiring. gordon for humphries and brooks. also a decent back up center. better than diop. if we could trade haywood, it might be ok, but he can't be traded until july.

i got a question about the sign and trade arrangements concerning free agents. How come that when the Cats dealt DJ to Indiana they got nothing, but when the Suns dealt Nash to LA they got lots of picks, or when the Magic dealt Anderson to NOLA they still got Ayon?

that's because we didn't deal D.J.. He signed with the Pacers as a free agent. normally the team who agrees on a sign-and-trade gets some kind of compensation because the other team couldn't sign the player due to salary cap issues.
