I'm pretty sure on draft night he got asked what the first thing he was going to buy with his new contract, and he answered a dog.

As a father of two rescue dogs and a very brief foster parent of a 3rd (aptly named "Crash" since we'd watch Bobcats games together late night on DVR to avoid the infighting w/ our now much older dogs) - I am loving seeing this!
