Hornets to change name 2013-2014 season

Ok....So I was at work thinking of a good team name for New Orleans since the Pelicans is by far the worse team mascot/name since the Cucamonga Cracka Killaz. So I thought since its the land of Mardi Gras the team name should be "The Wooooooooooo" Mascot is just a up raised shirt, large pair of breasts and some shiny beads. OMG, think of the logo in the middle of the floor, the cheerleader uniforms, when they score some random drunk girl goes wooooooo over the PA system. Probably not to good for the kids but i mean seriously...look what they turned pro wrestling into.

this actually made me think of something. you know the state motto's that end up on license plates, first in flight, keystone state, etc.

louisana's should definitely be "show your tits!" anytime i have ever been there, this is what i here the most. that would be the best license plate for sure.

Official Pelicans announcement on Thursday in NOLA with Governor Jindall present.

Hopefully the Bobcats will officially address the situation and give some direction to get every fan of the Bobcats/Charlotte Hornets on the same page.

I wouldn't expect to hear anything till post-season...unless another market is a legit threat to buying the name, MJ would not let his Bobcat merch revenue evaporate before seasons-end

I bought season tickets today.

In speaking with my season ticket rep- the survey will cover everything and include the name change topic. Also, their will be a citywide survey that goes out later ( not sure when later is).

After I get the survey- I'll post the questions.

You talking about the email we just got from Fred Whitfield? I find the timing of this survey very odd, and the fact that the team CEO needed to send an email out before the survey is pretty odd too.

I don't really know, I saw a pic of the e-mail but I can't find it now. Something about a big survey coming out the day of or after the official announcement from NO. I just wonder if it will directly address the name Hornets
