Seriously. We get a abused on the boards at the end of games, and he is our only legit center. This is the second game in a row where I feel we probably would have won if he was in to protect the paint and grab rebounds. He only played 21 minutes, and wasn't in any foul trouble. I firmly believe in Dunlap, but some of his lineups seem to be costing us games.

just let Gordon get all his shots in the first 3.5 quarters where he's a beast. any kind of pressure and he auto-derps in the clutch. Just run a normal fucking sized lineup its not that hard
Kemba/Henderson/(switch Taylor and MKG for offense/defense when possible)/Mullens/Haywood. and run the same kinda ball that gets us these leads in the first place. small ball sucks
I agree 100% ..2nd game where we got totally dominated on the boards at the end of the game and gave up 1 offensive rebound after another ..definately a huge factor in both losses ..there is no doubt that we should have had 2 bigs in the game when we r playing with the lead and when they have Chandler down low ..it was driving me nuts in both games ..Dunlap has made some coaching errors but hopefully it's just due to him learning the NBA game and our roster
That's another thing. Mullens only played 19 minutes. That means over half the game was played with an undersized lineup. I understand we are guard heavy, and a lot of our points come from four of our guards, but there is no excuse for not recognizing that we're have been outmatched on the boards late in the last two games.
Dunlap: Learn to adjust. You openly took the blame for the Portland loss. Learn from it, and make the proper subs.

And I couldn't agree more about Gordon ..yes they guy has been huge as of late and was a big reason why were winning this game ..but he should not be in there in late game situations when we have the lead ..maybe when we r down and trying to come back but not when we are up 6 with 2 minutes to go ..he takes bad shots at bad times and is very careless with the ball ..he had 3 str8 possessions in the last 2:30 where he had 2 turnovers and a horrible shot ..it was killing me how Dunlap left him in the game instead of going big
Seriously. Correct me if I'm wrong, but their final lineup was Felton/Kidd/Smith/Novak/Chandler. You put Haywood in for Biz, and Mullens in for Gordon.
That leaves us with Haywood covering Chandler, which he can easily do, and Mullens just making sure Novak doesn't get open looks from three. Both of them can crash the boards, and prevent these inexcusable late game offensive rebounds. We should be .500 at the very least. I'm really upset about the last two losses. I would much rather lose like we did to OKC than lose like we did to Portland or New York.

+1 on not having Haywood in the game late. a big problem.
When the game is going at a quick normal speed, sure, run 3 guards. BUT when the game is in the final few minutes and slows down, that's when we should be running a normal sized/big lineup.
But hey, maybe we are tanking :v
noticed it more in the blazers game when aldridge was killing us during the collapse but yeah as communicative as haywood is you'd think he should be out there directing the d and boxing out in crunchtime.

Haywood is our anchor on defense. Get him out there in crunch time. We got a whole ton of wing guards to score with, use Haywood for those rebounds Dunlap!
