I dont mind having Biz in there at the end of the game vs the knicks but without question Haywood should have been in there as well....Gordon should have been taken out...especially after the turnovers and the bad shots....they were killing us on the boards in the last few minutes so Dunlap should have adjusted and went big ..a lineup of Kemba / Hendo/Taylor / MKG / Biz / Haywood should have been the lineup....if we do that i have no question that we win the game...and same goes for Portland game..they killed us on the boards especially offensive boards in the 4th...yet Dunlap continued to stay with small lineup....hard to blame alot on Gordon...he has been in the league long enough for a coach to know his game...yea he played great for us in both games but he shouldnt be in there at the end...he is too erratic

Dunlap has made some bad moves in past few games...the 1 that really killed us was having Gordon inbound the ball (when he got the 5 second call )...but Gordon should have called a timeout....and another horrible call was not telling the team that we had a foul to give when JR Smith had the ball...could have changed the finish..he has also had some horrible rotations and late game lineups...and way too many times have we came out of a timout only to make a horrible play and turn the ball over...it makes you wonder what exctly is Dunlap doing in those timeouts....i really like him as a coach and i know he is learning the nba game and our roster but he has been a big reason for 3-4 of our losses....and to his credit he takes credit for his mistakes

Now back to Gordon...the guy has been playing lights out lately...averaging somewhere around 22 points in the last 4....i definately like him here and we will get alot for him..either this yr or next...but he needs t be in the game during the 1st-3rd quarters....not in crunch time

We played fine without Mullens that game lol

We lost because of blind faith in Ben Gordon whilst not getting any points for almost 5 minutes.

If your goal is to win basketball games immediately, then yes... leaving Hayward in at the end of the game is important.

If your goal is to teach and bring along a ridiculously young team, then letting core young players figure the game out live is important.

Its not like the team is hiding this from us... Dunlap was brought in specifically because he was a great teacher of the game. Learning/Building > winning at this point.

Don't let your over inflation of this teams talent affect your opinion of Dunlaps coaching ability. Seems to me he is doing everything he ever said he wanted to do so far.

i understand your point about teaching the young guys and giving them the experience in late game situations....i totally want that to happen....but leaving Gordon in there ( a vet ) and not playing Haywood or even Mullens is just a bad move....players have 46 minutes to learn and can actually learn alot by watching from the bench....there does come a when we need to buckle down and win the game ...no matter what it takes

the other 2 minutes are minutes that learning goes out the window and its time to put in the players that are hot and give u the best chance to win....unless its a blowout of course

I understand what you're saying but if experience is the best teacher when can the young cats learn to win in the final 2 minutes if they are on the bench because we play vets to get a meaningless win. Those guys on the floor gained more in experience in that loss than the team would have gained from a win.

there are times and places for the experience and teaching moments...playing arguably the best team in the East and being up with 2 minutes left in the game and desperately needing a win with the 4 game losing streak is not the time....thats just my opinion
