Man you've gotta love MKG

just a bunch of young guys (and ben gordon) making learning mistakes. mkg killing his dribble for no reason then having to try for a cross court pass. kemba trying to split the pick and roll and turning it over when he didn't have to go hero mode in that instance. just a good learning experience for everyone. notice how much harder the possessions get when the game winds down. that is where these young guys have to learn on the fly.

i think mkg is the BEST finishers that the bobcats have ever had. he is so good at finishing through contact, using his spiderman arms to "hang" in the air (he finished over tyson chandler this way). i would still like to see him bang on folks, but i can't complain too much as long as the shots are falling. in this regard he is already way way better than crash.

I'm gonna disagree with you fellas. I believe Kemba is the better finisher. Simply because of his size, makes him look like the second coming of D.Rose the way he takes contact and scores, and how he's able to weave through traffic and put it up and in the basket. However, that's not to say that MKG isn't good. He's also a damn good finisher. Struggled earlier in the season to score, but now seems to have gotten used to the physically and is asserting himself aggressively when he goes hard to the rack. Sometimes I don't expect him to finish the shot and he surprises me by finishing. He's a skinny guy, but he definately has a strong core to be able to finish through some of the contact he's taken.

MKG continues to impress me. I wasn't high on MKG during the draft, but I'm excited to see what he can bring 3 years from now.

Kemba is a great finisher too, but I'm gonna have to go with the rest of the pack on this one. Even if you consider Kemba a better finisher for his size, physics actually matters here. Kemba's smaller size doesn't allow him to bounce defenders off his body, fight through arms, or rise over every defender.

Giving somebody six more inches in height and a couple more in arm length, as well as 30-40 pounds is such a huge difference. This also bears out statistically, as MKG shoots 67% at the rim (58-86), while Kemba shoots 51% (44-86).

Back to MKG, he is an elite level finisher. I think this is a talent every bit as much as outside shooting. I think it is actually a harder skill to develop, where basic outside shooting is more a matter of form and repetition, while touch around the basket is something that seems more innate. You have to know just the right angles and amount of force on the shot, while also judging the right trajectory over or through arms, be able to use both hands, all the while being hit or knocked around. More variables requires more skill.

Walker and Kidd are a great duo going forward. If we can land a big in this draft that can contribute as much as these two, we will be in the playoffs next year. We already got some of the role players in place already. Bitchsmack, Taylor gang, and BJ Mully will be quality role players in the end.

You can tell MKG & Kemba are tight. They're always talking on the court and every time they show a shot of the bench they're sitting beside one another. Also I'm sure you guys saw the big smile Kemba had when Biz caught that pass and finished.

Love seeing the guys being like that.

I thoroughly enjoyed both the Portland and NY games. Don't care that we lost; both were phenomenally entertaining.

MKG can score at will in the paint; if there's any room at all (acknowledging that sometimes it's just packed tight).

I REALLY like Kemba better when he drives, then stops and pops. That move seems to be his kill shot; rather than the over, under, behind and around at the rim thank God nobody blocked it shot.

This team is fun to watch and a lot of NBA fanatics out there are figuring that out.

Same here, spec! I loved how excited Kemba was. It was like, 'Damn that was a sweet lookaway pass I made to Biz...wait a minute. Biz? He was actually ready for the pass and caught it and flushed it? My boy's growing up!'

That's the beauty of team sports, especially basketball. The relationships and the growth not just as an individual but of a unit. That play encapsulated that perfectly.

Agreed about the games. We played really well, and made one of the best teams in the league jump up and down that they beat us.
