Start of the month he was strong but has really struggled for PT and fouls in the last two weeks to be honest. A little surprised but great that he gets a little recognition

It makes sense when you break it down. Drummond isn't getting enough time yet to challenge for the award, Terrence Ross hasn't done anything, and both Beal and Waiters' efficiency numbers are garbage. When you take into account that Anthony Davis has only played in six games so far because of injury, MKG has probably been the second-best rookie so far, behind only Lillard.

Harrison Barnes has also been pretty solid, while Thomas Robinson and Sullinger aren't getting the minutes to put up numbers, but they haven't flopped, either.

Yep, MKG has been playing well but he's not exactly getting a ton of competition for best rookie in the East.

The next best eastern rookie might seriously be Taylor so far
