    He's 6'8.3" barefoot. Big enough to spend some time at center, but he's got power forward size.

    DX = 6'9.5" in shoes should rule...cuz they don't play barefoot.

    Wingspan = 7'6.16" (2nd overall in the 2011 draft).

    Reach = 9'3.42"

    With his quicks and agility I think he makes a fine center.

    Why pretend he's taller than he is? Barefoot heights correct for variations due to shoes/soles/etc. Biyombo will spend time at both positions over the course of his career, depending on match-ups.

    Why pretend he doesn't wear shoes to do his job and that the combined height of him and his shoes is the most relevant thing to this discussion?

    I don't see how it's pretend because they do play in shoes?

    NBA lists all their players in shoes and usually inflated at that. If you pick out a certain player and insist using their height without shoes then you're actually comparing apples to oranges because the other guys aren't listed like that.

    looks like Bogg and spectre already gave you your break.

    He's conservatively listed at 6'9 and could easily be called a 6'10 player.

    Why does it matter who he guarded the majority of the time this ONE game? I distinctly remember him guarding guys like Al Jefferson and Dwight Howard the majority of the time when he plays them. You know... the Centers on their rosters

    By the way, going with spectre in that argument. You play with your shoes on so you should be measured as such. There's typically a accepted addition for shoes (around 1.5" I believe) but most teams inflate or deflate past that number for whatever reason

    Why be correct when you can spin something more positive, right? Biyombo stands 6'8" and change. It's big enough to play center most of the time, since most "seven footers" aren't.

    Biyombo doesn't stand 6'8" and change when he stands on an NBA court

    Whatever. you're right they play barefoot and 6'8 is how tall he is. (thats what you wanted to hear) I don't give a shit if he's 4'5" ... He's a center.

    A guys' height isn't a subjective thing like the quality of his jumpshot or his ceiling. There's a quantifiable answer. "Height in shoes" is a marketing gimmick agents use to make their clients sound more appealing. Also, you're kidding yourself if you don't think he's going to play both positions over the course of his career, especially with the number of big men projected to go in the top-10 of the coming draft.
