Default Jeff Adrien Called Up by Bobcats

The @rgvvipers Jeff Adrien will get called up to the Charlotte Bobcats. Adrien was with the Bobcats during training camp.

    Per CBS Eye On Basketball

Interesting to see if his addition means someone else is moving.

PHENOMINAL! True story, Adrien briefly worked the door with me at a for-profit house party when I was at Uconn. Well, it was more like me and a friend(who he knew) worked the door while he stood behind us and BS'ed with my friend, but I count it.

I remember him from UConn...tough, can rebound, hustles, and can go up strong downlow with the ball. I always thought that he could be a decent backup PF in the league. I think he had a brief stint with the Rockets last year. I hope he can play well enough to stick with us. I'm sure he'll bring more than Warrick.

No offense to Adrien, but Kenyon Martin or Troy Murphy would have been better pick-ups.

No offense to Kenyon Martin or Troy Murphy, but they're over the hill husks of their former selves and I think the entire fanbase would rather get excited over the idea of a young guy getting a chance to succeed instead of seeing another Larry Hughes or Darius Miles headline.

It absolutely could be because I'd be hard pressed to name what Haywood would have done so poorly that would justify a Diop start. Or maybe they're really unhappy with the bigs they have (Mullens' continued lack of defensive awareness) and are looking for another option to help Biyombo and Haywood? Either way, a change of some type looks to be in the works.

We don't have any rebounding guys at all.

The best three rebounders on the team are MKG, Kemba, and Henderson. That simply can't continue.

If by that you mean Bismack, Haywood, and Mullens then you're right

Maybe best wasn't the right word. Let me use "active"

As Bismack, Haywood, and Mullens hardly ever rebound outside of their position or make the most of rebounding opportunities. Its comical how all three of those guys get routinely tossed around down low or have the ball slip through their hands.
