i hate dunlap's coaching . im so baffled by his line-ups and subs . his line-ups isn't determined by performance but more by age or something ,because taylor shouldnt even avg 10 mins and biz shouldn't be starting over haywood.
i dont care about developing youth at this point because we have the talent to challenge the nba . also, there is a way that we can develop youth while still trying to win and with dunlap that doesnt seem to be the case. we have our pilars in kemba, hendo, and mkg; so why do we have the need to develop everyone below 23? thats not even realistic . we focus on our main cogs and surround them with vets , not every young player in the nba has potential ,some are destined to be role players.
we were very successful early this year when sessions was avg almost 30 min, when haywood was avg 25, and ben was avg about 20-25. now that are vets mins have decreased; we cant hold leads , offense seems stagnant at times and we are turnover prone. sessions was maybe the leading 6th man candidate till dunlap went and f*#k it up.
now this is where my biggest issue is , i hate taylor. taylor has to be the least productive player on our team or even nba at this point . i dnt understand how taylor played 39 min against NY and scored 6 pts , 3 rebs, and 3 ast or 33 min against GS and score 4 pts , 3 rebs, and 2 ast. being a rookie doesnt excuse taylors lack of production and yes i understand he is very efficient 3 point shooter but he also takes away from the offense creativity. like i said taylor is no more than a raja bell , mikeal pitreus ,and ron artest(older artest) type player;these players are spot-up shooters and scrappy defenders but are not starters and dont offer very much of anything(rebs, ast, steals and hustle). taylor has very poor court vision and he cannot create for himself or for others(thus the ny and gs game ,actually more gms than that ).
gerald been playing at a all-star pace avg almost 20 pts in 2 games around 25 min and last nite 17 pts while shooting only 11 shots. gerald is avg 45% shooting since returning and thats amazing . honestly i already knew what gerald was already capable of but im glad to see that he's been very productive. the problem i have is how geralds mins are fluctuating ,but imma give dunlap a benifit of a doubt because of hendo's injury . at least if he's going to pace hendo's return , give the remaining mins to sessions , gordon, and mkg(not taylor).
i dont understand how a coach can have our best post player and rebounder , just jacking 5 three point attempts a game and your not monitoring it. mullens is wasting his talent and size jacking, and he's not even successful(28%). i can see at least 1-2 but 5-6 ,i dont. you would think as a coach he would been approached that as a problem .
biz min has increased but as a starter i dont agree. yes we have to develop biz but he can avg 20 min and still develop . to fully make him our starter is foolish especially how effective haywood has been . biz is still giving up easy rebounds which irks me ,and is really raw in the post still . if your going to start biz at least give haywood about 20 mins ,dont just discard him all together.
put dunlap on the hotseat
