Its not like our team is better with the veterans in
hornets; vasquez is their starting point guard , and they drafted austin rivers ? they have way more invested in rivers than vasquez but at this point its about who's the better player and unlike the bobcats we are not force feeding min to undeserving players.as of lately rivers is playing ok but if gordon comes back he's back on the bench because if he wasnt he would of been starting pg. ryan anderson(5 yrs exp and 24) is considered a vet he's avg over 30 min and he has been taking away min from aminu and aminu is in the developmental stage right now .try again
cavs; varejao is starting over their 1st rounder zeller. zeller isn't even avg over 15 min a game? boobie gibson is avg about 24 min a game .if boobie was a bobcat he would of been around the 15-20 range .try again
kings;the kings have 2 lottery picks sitting on the bench(ferdette and robinson). ferdette is avg 12 min a game and he has two vetz over him(thorton and salmons). robinson cant beat out thompson and chuck hayes for min.try again
t-wolves;derrick williams so far cant even avg 25-28 min on a team with no back up sf or pf. at this point he's battling dante cunningham for min. now if this was the bobcats and roles where switch around, andrei would of been avg 20 min and williams would of been around 30+. try again
teams develop players in moderation, and like i said every team has at least a vet or vets who are contributing starter or quality mins . coaches are not given undeserving players quality mins at the expense of the whole team and if they are ,its maybe 1-2 players ,not 6 players. there no reason why gordon shouldnt be avg at least 25 min and he's having a great shooting year, sessions is playing lights out and his mins is decreasing , hendo can't even play thru a bad game without getting pulled early or when mullens single handly shot us out of like 4 wins at least and there is no repercussions for his play.
some ppl in this furom are not thinking realistic and like i said to develop 6 players all at once is unheard of and stupid ,because there are way more deserving players on our team.
if i had it my way , we probably wouldn't be over .500 but we definitely wouldnt be 7-17 or whatever.
ppl want us to have a bad year when this is a weak draft ,the top ten player you want might not even be in the lottery or in the 1st round after if its all said in done . oh yeah news flash the the top rated players are all tweener forwards(we have that in mkg) and tweener guards(have that in gordon and kemba) which we dnt need . our obvious weakness is no post presence and there is only one post player in the lottery (zeller) , the rest are athletic/rangy bigs which we already have two of(biz and tt).
side note ; if it means anything lol but i feel tony mitchell may be the best draft prospect next to zeller.

Right. I like Sessions and Gordon, but neither of those guys is better at running the offense. Sessions is great at attacking the basket and Gordon can obviously light it up from outside. However, if those things aren't working, I think both players are more limited than Kemba. Not to mention that Kemba brings an energizing attitude to the team most nights.
We're just outgunned by most teams at the minute. Have to live with it in the short run.
SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
Austin Rivers was always some years away regardless and if Eric Gordon were active then he might actually be in the D-League right now. He's a project. Vasguez has ALWAYS looked like he had potential in the NBA. Aminu isn't getting his option picked up last I checked - but the Hornets are basically at the stage we were 2 years ago. They just happen to have a #1 pick on their roster already. They're developing just fine, but while they're doing that, they'll also be looking to acquire tradeable assets. Varejao isn't keeping the Cavs from losing and he's a huge trade asset as well. Derrick Williams is simply terrible - much like Wes and Flynn. Either way, its not hard to see how things work.
The Kings are easily the most dysfunctional team in the league. No point in even bringing them up.
i was basic proving my point that teams are not developing talent at the expense of the whole team , no matter what their record is or who's in the upcoming draft except the bobcats.
u forget that kyrie was injured for about 7 gms and also varejao maybe kept them from being 2-27 instead of 5-22.
like you said "derrick williams is simply terrible" but his play is determining his mins. taylor is a horrible player ,who is subjected to have a few good games just like everyone else but the majority his play just been horrid. mullens has a good game every 7 gms( i know cause i HAD him on my fantasy team ;thru the free agency). biz is ok but he isnt a productive rebounder and attempts to score when he should be learning his role as the enforcer
Bis just went on a streak where he averaged 9.3 rebounds for 8 games. That's productive to me.
He is averaging 5.9 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game in seven starts, despite averaging 32.3 minutes, thats not really that good for a player who isnt a scorer option.
biz really ist the problem and his production is coming along ok. but there is no need to rush it when the vets had us competing . when i say there is no need to develop 6 players , ppl start getting all crazy but all im saying is we need to focus on kemba, mkg, and hendo ,the rest are a work in progress and dont need to be getting the min that they are.

I am amazed that anyone would think that the problem is anything other than our offensive production coming solely from the 1/2 spots on most nights...and other than Kemba even those other options are inconsistent at best.
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, ‘All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker
"Its okay to be bad; just so long as you're bad ass." - Keetch
I just want to see some defense. For a team that doesn't turn the ball over much (8th in NBA) that would allow easy transition offense for the opponent, they sure do leave a lot to be desired on the defensive end, currently last in the league in opponent PPG (104.4) and defensive efficiency (108.3).
Agreed. For a team that has guys with a defensive mindset such as MKG, Biz, Junior, JT, Kemba and Haywood, it's alarming at how many easy, open baskets they give up whether from 3 or inside. It's obvious they are molasses slow in rotating so their communication leaves much to be desired and there is the whole loading up on the strong side only to give up an open 3 with a skip pass to the weak side.
This, and not giving MKG enough minutes (still boggles my mind why he didn't see the court at all in the 4th vs. ORL) are my only real gripes with Dunlap; otherwise, I love the guy and think he is the perfect man for this job.
