Yeah, it was a loss, but I feel bad for any Bobcats fan who missed that road game versus the Lakers last night. I was so proud of our team. So many great moments...
Henderson's Superman-style dunk on Howard, which had the LA crowd ooing and awing.
Hack-a-'Smack in the final minutes, and Biz calmly goes to the line to nail both free throws.
Mullens all over the boards like Kevin Love.
Henderson continuing to nail 3-pointers like he is Steve Kerr.
Ramon Sessions with his patented elevated drives to the hoop.
Kemba Walker going off offensively, and also including some sweet assists to 'Smack and MKG.
Mullens swatting 4 shots.
Biz swatting Kobe.
Drama and near misses down the stretch, especially in the Bobcats final possession.
That was great basketball last night, and it got me thinking about the season as a whole. The Bobcats are clearly better and staying in games way more often than last season. If we merely stay close against superior teams, we provide the fans with better entertainment, but still get the chance to pick up one more good lottery pick. A ton of 2-5 point losses will get you a lottery pick just as well as a ton of 20 point losses.
Then, in the coming years we unleash Walker/MKG/Bismack/Taylor/(2013 lottery pick) on the league, perhaps with Mullens and Henderson in the mix as well. Perhaps. If Hendo keeps hitting 3's like this, he will make a strong case to stay here.
