The fact that anyone thinks Tyreke would be "terrible for his team" is just stupid. This guy is a great defender, a good ball handler and is one of the best at getting to the rim in the NBA. Shooting isn't everything!!!

Look who we have already thought that can't shoot. The league would just run zones on us like crazy

I think Tyreke is comparable, shooting wise, with Henderson and with Reke's slashing ability he would fit perfectly in Dunlap's style of playing. Also, if there is one coach who would be able to get Tyreke back on track it's Dunlap.

Evans has regressed every year he's been in the league and duplicates what Kemba and MKG already give you. He's also not a "great" defender. If you're going to commit $50 million over 4 years to a guy, you don't want him to be a huge question mark that doesn't add a new dimension to your offense.

Who says we would have to play them all together at the same time? One could come off the bench with the 2nd unit, in fact I think Tyreke would make a great 6th man. Also we could have other players on the team to stretch the floor in the Ryan Anderson/ Ilyasova mold

Kemba and MKG are going to play 30+ minutes a night on that theoretical team, and if you're going to use up all your cap space on a shooting guard he'd better be logging heavy minutes as well. It's one thing to bring a guy off the bench in the first quarter to keep the offense from lagging (we know, Spectre, we know: anyone but Kemba), but you can't have to actively avoid playing your three best perimeter guys together.

Actually Mike Krzyzewski names him as one of the best defenders he had seen back in 2010 when he went to the team USA camp. You may not believe me but Evans is a very good on ball defender, if you watch him play then it is obvious. Who said someone can't get heavy minutes coming off the bench? Harden, Ginobli, Crawford all do. Why would we have to avoid playing them together? just think of the ball movement and handling we would have in that group and the defense. Plus add in someone in the Matt Bonner role and another 4 who can shoot, such as Mullens or Ilyasova. Stoop ignoring my perfectly valid points.

There is no way Evans would sign in Charlotte to just come of the bench. And he'll be looking for more money than we'd hopefully be willing to offer anyway.

He's a guy who cannot be successful unless the ball is in his hands 24/7 and the offense is built around him. No thanks. Kemba is a ball dominant PG and taking the ball out of his hands reduces his effectiveness. No thanks. not to mention Tyreke has a low BBIQ and has regressed on a yearly basis.

    So yeah, no thanks.

I don't think we should go for him, all my point was is you out him on This team he would make this team better. We shouldn't spend the cap space on him, but he would make the team better. Also I don't think Kemba is that ball dominant, he plays off the ball a lot with sessions

Tyreke Evans would be welcomed with open arms on my team. That would be the duo of the future. He can play SG and he is a great option at PG if you wanna pair him with Jeff Taylor. Really versatile player with great strength, excellent speed and a high motor. But when he catch fire..hes unstoppable.
