First off, I wouldn't trust anything from any media outlet in regards to MJ or the team. On the very rare chance that any of them catch or care to know about anything Bobcats related, it'll be in a negative light. MJ especially is a guy who gets a ton of derision from talking heads for a lot of things he didn't have much influence on (Adam Morrison to name one example).

As far as MJ's relationship with GM's, it's hard for any of us to know one way or the other because we aren't in the room with them so all we can really do is speculate. What we do know is that he has come out on at least one occasion and said Cho has full autonomy, and I believe Cho has also said he wouldn't have signed on in Charlotte unless he was allowed full control to blow the team up and build anew. A lot has to be said about MJ "firing/promoting" one of his perceived "yes men" and bringing in Cho.

For better or worse, where we are and where we're going is thanks to Cho.

I would just like for cho to trade for a good young big sitting deap on the bench . Like that 3rd string center who finished the game for Denver for example.. We have just too many wings and very few bigs . The team is very unbalanced. Agerrded we rebuilding but im thinking some kinda of move is in ordor . Just something small to help balance the team.

    Thanks Ammofan!

People are really citing First Take as a legit sports news source? In 2012(soon to be 2013)? This is kinda shocking and sad all in one breath.

That said, I'm completely fine with the way the season has panned out, any Bobcats fan would have signed up for 7 wins before Christmas coming off of what happened last year.Look at the macro not the micro here.

@SWedd523: Thanks for clarifying Jordan's recent commentary on Cho's role, I didn't catch it and I didn't how much Cho's role in the org was made public..apparently more than I thought. That makes me a little less cynical.

@NataFresh: Sad would be to immediately dismiss insights from a media outlet without listening to it first as they can offer factual information like Larry Brown's actual quotes. The show only echoes rumors about MJ that have been floating around for years...I don't think Stephen A Smith is much for putting his esteemed reputation on the line to make headlines. Would you like me to cite every single disparaging remark about MJ in the last 10 years?

I'm surprised no one mentioned that we drafted Brandon Wright because Golden State told us to?

Bernie wanted Morrison. Everyone knew it and Jordan said himself he hadn't been keeping up with college ball right before he joined the club (approx. 1 month before the draft) so he would have to rely heavily on the existing staff. Bernie freaking OOZED love for Morrison after his workouts.

I am definitely not the guy to defend Jordon on here but if those are the two examples used on those shows then credibility just went way the hell downhill.

BTW...I wouldn't mind having Brandon Wright on the squad about now. For a 9th pick (?) at least he's finally coming around.

Larry Brown was PISSED. Supposedly they got into a shouting match when he got fired. Why was he pissed tho? Because Jordon broke it down...before that Jordan gave Larry EVERYTHING he asked for...Larry was the defacto GM up until that summer where we dumped players, which LB wanted no part of and asked to be let out of his contract. Sure Higgins is a "yes" man...but he said yes to Larry Brown. If you break it down how long exactly did Higgins run the show without LB & without Cho?

Unless we have a top 5 pick, which playing this way is likely, there aren't any big men in the lower part of the draft. mostly PF's and we have enough of them. Not including Bismack, We have Haywood not producing, Diop not producing and Mullens...Jesus, Help us. We are wing and small guard heavy with athletic bigs. We need to put some kinda trade together for a scoring C....Period
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

All I want for Christmas is for Santa Cho to bring the Bobcats DeMarcus Cousins. I've been a good boy ALL YEAR long for this one Santa Cho, so don't let me down! Then we wont have to worry about looking for a Big in this 2013 draft.

Good point. I still think MJ is ultimately responsible for Charlotte's pre-Cho blunders. In my opinion, Higgins was incompetant in his proper role and he was hired more out of personal liking more than his resume in a vacuum. I think Cho has been given autonomy, which is an immeasurably positive move.
